The game today

Just back from the game, and I am quite simply shocked. Flabagasted wouldn't be much of an understatement. Absolutely speechless at the unquestionably stunning world class save pulled off by Karl Darlow in the 1st half! It was Banks-esque, quite simply breathtaking, a better save I will not see this season.

Well done Karl Darlow, take a bow son

Was a great save, but was about the only good thing out of yesterday's game, the defense was shocking leaving Darlow completely exposed and it looked like we could have played all day and not scored!

Watford though look like a quality team, the best team I have seen this season and I would expect that they actually may end the season in the automatic places!

There's no "about" about it SBS. It was the smallest of silver linings to an otherwise pointless afternoon. We need to buy some fast wingers. Desperately.

Rather concerned about some of the other articles. Yesterday's game showed we are not yet a team. We do not need a more experienced goalkeeper. What we do need is a team (like Watford). There has been comment that no one has heard of their players (Watford). Who cares, they are a team, and a solid one at that.

And one that was more or less put together last summer, much like ours. They did it well, we weren't quite on the ball.

Well we all know what will happen to Mcleish if we don't at least get into the playoffs

And we are going to need some serious consistency from now to the end of the season f we want a hope of achieving that, something which has alluded us all season.

February will make or break any hopes of a playoff push.

Got to agree with daveshtheredindian and what Hoons says 'And one that was more or less put together last summer, much like ours'

That's it in this league...you don't need super stars; just a group of players that play as a team. Not sure if chopping and changing manegers will change this.

* managers

Have to agree with Oddball, the difference between this playoff push and the ones under BD, is that even though the team on paper was not as good as it was 2/3 seasons ago, it was much more of a unit between manager, players and fans where I would say this time around even though on paper the team you would say should be much better, it just does not seem to be as united which is what is causing all the inconsistency.

Hopefully this will change as it has to if we want to get into the playoffs, but as said earlier February is a very big month for the team and we really need to gain some real consistency if we are to stand a chance of getting into the playoffs.

Forget the playoffs, we blew that by sacking sod and bringing in Mcleish, we have gone back since Leeds game and although sod had his faults he was a better option than Mcleish who at his best is just a ordinary manager. Mcleish will not get the best out of this squad, and as the owners want minimum of playoffs, we will have a managerial change at the end of the season. We needed continuity but instead we have chaos.
