Unlike the US Open final, which was an exciting match, this match was ok. I wouldn't quite call it a 'snore-fest' but lots of points were won by mistakes being forced, rather than outright winners. There was a very good standard of tennis, but not too many exciting, breath-taking rallies, but that sometimes happens in sport.

I feel that Djoko won with hard solid match-play rather than breat-taking brilliance, but it's the sign of a true champ that can do it. The British media will always look for optimism where Murray is concerned, and whilst I remain convinced that he will win more grand slams, he is still just the odd % short of where Djoko is. Yes, Murray has improved, but don't forget that so has Djoko. I don't think that Murray was anywhere near aggressive enough, and I just feel that he could have gone for it a bit more - might not have changed the result, but if it was obvious that Djoko was being the aggressor, so why not try and take that away from him. Yet another learning curve.

so you judge a match compared to a women's match?
why can't you just critique it based on what you see?
I thought it was tedious to say the least, regardless of how good or bad the women's final was.

This is what happens when you slow all the courts down and make it 1 dimensional. Snooker has this problem and more... that the talented attacking players are being held back.

i agree in regards to tennis but didn't know that about snooker, interesting.
