Been lurking for a while and getting increasingly infuriated about some things written here, so finally I am going to clear a couple of things up.
Theres a few Wenger bashers who seem to have an absolutle hatred for him to the extent that they just make things up. Having been at the game yesterday I've been catching up on the board today, and a couple of people who regularly go on about him were talking about the Rosicky subsitituion being tactically inept. Well, yesterday Rosicky was huffing and puffing before he got taken off, he's been out for a while, and it's really not rocket science to work this out.
But this seems to be a regular occurence here. A couple of weeks ago I read a long winded post from Koscielny patented or something about how baffling it was that Podolski was taken off and how this reflects on Wenger's state of mind. Well, being sat about 3 metres away at the time that decision was made, I can tell you Podolski made a signal to the bench that he was struggling a few minutes before he came off, and there was stuff being sprayed all over him when he came out for the second half.
This isn't a "pro wenger" post, I'm pretty frustrated with him too right now, but if you can't figure out that your view from a sofa presents you with limited information compared to the manager then you really shouldn't be questioning his decisions.
Questioning Wenger's decisions

lol yeah people go to such extreme and obscure lengths to try and take a cheap shot at Wenger sometimes. if you're desperate to look for negative you will always find them. some people have mental problems.

In relation to subs, I have no issues even though he has made some shockers over the years.
However, in terms of setting the team up and having some sort of alternative plan when facing some of better team, he undoubtedly comes unstuck

Fans have a right to criticise and questions wengers tactics at times.
We have had 8 years of this where every season has pretty much repeated itself

Yeah fair enough the op has a point with the subs but you don't have to be at the ground to question some of wengers tactics

Castor you're doing a good job of demonstrating why bias is a bad thing. Nobody has said you don't have a right to criticise, but it's not a good idea to criticise a manager for taking a struggling player off just because you can't see that they're struggling.

Pod and Ox usually don't last the 90 mins, obviously they know fitness levels from training and will know who will dip at the end of a game.

Seems to me that people who can win at Fifa 13 think they can do a better job than Wenger. *sigh*

Agree with pretty much everything you say. Yes Wenger has his flaws; yes he can make poor subs, but he has a lot more knowledge about our players than we do and - most of the time - will have a perfectly valid reason for doing something which may appear to be on the face of it a strange move.
