Ever since he arrived DF has hinted that he did not think the squad is fit enough and in the last two weeks has been more explicit in his views on the fitness of Alonso and Sordell.
Was this lack of fitness a fault line running through Coyle's squad for the last 18 months or so; it may go someway to explain some of the lack lustre performances last season particularly those away at Fulham and Norwich.
Is improved fitness the only reason for Alonso's remarkable improvement in form in the last few weeks; when I watched him at Crawley at the begininig of September he was dreadful.Or do the cynics think it is all to do with he fact he is looking to get away.
