Stories that just rumble on

We all know theses stories, it could be a player inbound it could be a player outbound, more recently with Liverpool is was the arrival of Arda Turan that seemingly has yet to materialise, or the much maligned departure of Torres that never seemed possible.

Since 'The Pep' has been identified as Bayerns new coach/manager from the summer, the story of Suarez being thr number one target has rumbled on. Understandably some fans worst fear.

Today the Daily 'Fail' are reporting Guardiola will have a £240 million war chest for summer recruits to build a side in his image and Suarez is the number one target.

French newspaper L’Equipe also reports his two top targets are Suarez, one of the standout performers of the Premier League season so far, and Atletico Madrid’s supersta striker Radamel Falcao.

Suarez is contracted to Anfield until 2018 and would reportedly cost approximately £40m. Falcao would cost closer to £50m.

Me personally I would have thought Suarez was closer to the Falcao figure.

I would have though spending that amount would mean Bayern would be in hot water as far as the FFP rules go.

I think Suarez is very unlikely to leave if he sees we are making progress towards the CL. He has even named his daughter Delfina and seems well settled with his South American chums on Merseyside.

I'm pretty sure he will stay unless Barca or Real come in for him.

if the germans give Pep a 240 million transfer budget,
then they'll have to bid at least 200M for suarez. after all, torres was 50M and suarez is at least 4 times the player torres is based on this seasons form.

i swear he didn't know it was an anagram of Anfield, think there was an interview with him not long ago, although he is happy about it being so, it was just a lucky coincidence, and wont mean anything to him staying or going.

I think I am right in saying that Luis'daughter was born, and presumably named and christened some considerable time before LFC appeared on the horizon. JimmyTheRed

I've just read, "Luis would cost £40M" . And the other leg? jimmyTheRed

A lot depends on whether a large bid is received and what LFC's reaction to it is. If they don't dismiss it out of hand then it's immaterial how much Luis loves it at Anfield, he start to question how much the club loves him back. It would be similar in many ways to the Alonso situation.
