Hengy has had some disappointments in his relatively short tournament career and is fast establishing himself as group cannon fodder. That looks set to continue as I don’t think he will progress from this solid group, but may pick up a win or two. Personally I would love to see him qualify.

Dog

Team: FSV Mainz

Odds: 9 – 1

Dog was a silly no show last time, but due to important extenuating circumstances I will let him off. As for his chances I believe he will progress from this group and will continue to play the role of dark horse, which is weird for a dog, but you get my drift.

Verdict: Quarter-Finals

Psycho

Team: Freiburg

Odds: 10 – 1

Previous Tournament Performances: Group Stages, Winner, Group Stages

Psycho really needs to prove that his Dutch tournament win wasn’t just a fluke and that he is a consistent player and not a Greece 2004, Chelsea 2012. I think he will narrowly miss out on progression to Dog, which will further de-value his reputation.

Comu

Team: Shackle 04

Odds: 5 – 1

Previous tournament performances: Final, semi-final, quarter-final, quarter-final, semi-final

Comu successfully navigated the group of death last time only to fall short in what was a disappointing semi-final loss against May. I expect him to keep up his perfect group stage progression record and reach the semi-finals again, sooner or later he will get the required luck!

Verdict: Semi-Final

Choice

Team: Dusseldorf

Odds: 12 – 1

Choice failed to work his group stage great escape magic last tournament and I fear it could be a while till we see it again. Can only really see him beating Hengy in this group, but you never know he is always one to spring a surprise.

Verdict: Group-Stage
