What is so good about him ?
From his record of 163 games 58 goals is nothing special, it's not awful but certainly doesn't earn him this status of being a "brilliant finisher" that I’ve seen people call him.
I'm aware he is only 22 so perhaps I’m being rather harsh, but I really don't see anything special about him. When I have watched him, he seems to pretty much do nothing for majority of the game, doesn't really get involved with much and generally doesn't look like he even wants to play football.
So maybe I’m being harsh but I really do not see what is meant to be "special" about him, other than his outrageous personality (which doesn't mean he's a great footballer)
Reason I bring this up is because earlier on talksport try were talking about if he is better than Rooney. Which I find laughable.
Serious question about Balotelli

Don't think Scott Parker will miss him stamping on his head.
He's a decent striker and has time on his side... But i've seen quotes from top managers saying he has the potential to be the best striker in the world and i just don't see the raw skill or desire to back those quotes up.

He's an amazing advertiser. He's tricked the world into believing he's actually a good player in the way many advertising companies sell their product, he has sold us. He's rubbish as is McDonalds but we like to indulge in a bit of both.

He's done very very well to trick the managers he has then. Getting a goal record of one in two last season was a pretty good trick as well.

What does he offer other than an average goal record? Nothing other than comedy.

I'll never forget his demolishing of Germany

You think one in two is average? As I said earlier, I'm not particularly bothered if we sell him as I don't think his head will ever be fully there enough. The idea that he didn't perform for us last year or hasn't got bags of talent is wrong though.

One thing that probably gets forgotten is Balotelli won Fifa's young player of theyear award 2 years ago which will have sent the media and the hype into overdrive. For Fifa to recognise balotelli in that sense suggests there is talent there. His record this season is woeful but i believe he has only started 5 games in total. I really do think that Balotelli should decide for himself which career path he wants to follow that of Footballer or circus clown. As a City supporter i do hope he gets sold and we can move on and get some headline news for the right reasons.

We might as well sell him as it stands, his form for us has been nothing more or less than hit and miss, but if you can't see that the talent is there...

Agreed. Which is why Talksport is laughable.
