Big Vic for the off?

I think most of us expect this to happen in the summer. He has been great for us and will move on with our best wishes.

However what with him being cup-tied for the Champions League I didn't think he would be leaving this month but a couple of things have happened today which are making me re-think that.

First off, Rio Ferdinand tweeted this morning "Welcome to United, Victor Wanyama" which was quickly deleted.

Then the Manchester Evening News' Stuart Mathieson went public saying Utd in for Wanyama.

And now some quotes from Kenyan FA president Sam Nyamweya:

“Wanyama will soon be joining one of the big two clubs in the world.

“It is an exciting moment for us, which means that Kenya is a powerhouse in football."

Of course it could all be bollox, most of the time these things are but we all expect him to go so maybe Fergie, having watched him against Dundee Utd last week has decided to steal a march before he gets even more expensive.

Personally I would have liked him to stayed for the Juve games but if he has played his last then all the best to him

Wire with 2 days to go in the market I fear for both Wanyama and Hooper to be honest.

If Spurs and Norwich belly up with an £8m pound offer he will go.

Likewise if Man U start to offer £9-10m for Wanyama it will be hard to resist.

However, regardless of the money - 24hrs is not enough to backfill these guys 2 weeks before a CL game....

AHHH

For once im going into the transfer window not with excitement but with fear

It's too late in the window for Wanyama to move anyway, only 2 days before it closes and no solid reports are arising. If we do want Vic, we'll try get him in the summer

I doubt the fact he is cup-tied for the CL will be off putting for any team. For the sake of what could be only 2 games out of a busy second half to the season, no club is going to miss out on signing a player.

Doubt he'll go this window, but probably will in the summer.

If we did sell him now I'd be raging. If we were going to sell him this window it should've been early so we can replace him, not with two days to go.
