Does it really matter who we appoint?

With the exception of Fergie, Wenger & Moyes, does it really matter who Hoyle decides to appoint as the next Town Manager?

Lets be honest here, from the extensive list of supposedly interested parties including Adkins, Coyle, Robins, Davies, Barker, Boothroyd, Hughes, Barnby, Megson, Jackson, Irvine and Uncle Tom Cobley and all, this bunch have all been failures at their previous clubs and no doubt will be at their next club, given time.

Am I personally sorry for any of these Managers currently on the management roundabout? - am I hell as like, because this grubby lot often pick up more in compensation pay-outs than the average working man earns in his life time.

So Hoyley, you might as well give Mark Lillis or Phil Neville a chance, because neither of these have yet been a failure at football management.

Finally and for what it's worth, I don't believe Nigel Adkins will become our next manager, because I reckon some other club will step in and secure his services with the offer of a fatter salary and a bigger transfer budget.

Clare Balding?

She’s Rugby League!

Anyway, enough’s enough! D. on a b. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1299144) is on just about everything projected by the idiot’s lantern these days… apart from everything that Jo Brand is on.

Town need someone as tough as old boots.

Well there's not much of the male domain left for women to invade, so Hoyley might as well break the ice and appoint one as our next manager.

Lets be honest, we now have women cricketers, boxers, golfers, linesmen (sorry lineswomen), firefighters, electricians, airline pilots, meter readers, security guards, architects, funeral directors, truck drivers and welders and Gabby Yorath has now stepped in to become a leading sports presenter.

Thing is though, who do you reckon would be suitable to become the first one? - Could it be Mitzi, Amelia Chaffinch, or do we play safe and go for someone like Gabby Yorath, Kirstie Gallacher, or Tanya Arnold.

I reckon it's only a matter of time before one is appointed and it's a while now since Town broke any records (43 match unbeaten run was the last one- ), so lets be the first to appoint one, because I'm sure they couldn't make a worse fist of it than some of the current male incumbents.

Mirf, this is a classic, well done!

'As far as "Rookies" are concerned you've obviously never heard of Darren Ferguson, who got Peterborough
promoted up into League One in his very first full year of management and then followed this up the year after, by taking them up into the Championship.'

'Darren also got Posh relegated...'

LV69,

You need to do your homework much better.

Ferguson was not in charge when Posh got relegated during season 2009-10, since he left them during Nov 2009 and joined PNE. Mark Cooper took over the reigns when Fergie left but was later sacked and replaced by Jim Gannon during Feb 2010,

So when Fergie left them there was still 30 league games left for Cooper and Gannon to save Posh from relegation, but they failed and it was nowt to do with Fergie.

Mirf, you do make me giggle!

Those quotation marks on my last post were your words. I think you are the one to do your homework, re-read our posts and when you do, go to the back of the class and put your hands on your head. Oh, don't forget the peaked hat!

LV69,

You right - me wrong.

Must have been down to that strong Hardy's red wine I'd been swigging, which had obviously dulled my brain.

PS: I'll get you next time.
