Against Modern Football

This is a small campaign to get clubs realizing how much the fans hate football in its current situation. We love the beautiful game but we hate the way its run. We're supporters not customers.

Before people say the campaign wont work smaller campaigns started in other countries and they have paid off. Obviously Germany is the perfect model with all clubs having at least a 51% fan ownership. There may be differences in fan bases but the logic worked.

Our campaign started over 2 weeks ago and already has over 190 people on the Facebook page just for LCFC. We are organising events starting with Huddersfield at home in the cup. We are all gathering in G1 to share our views in the loudest way possible. Everyone is welcome to join us so we can vent our views.

Sounds interesting but, what are you aiming to achieve in the long run and what message are you trying to send v Huddersfield? You've not really specified!

Right now it's about getting the support and backing hence articles like this to gather interest. Banners won't be offensive.

Already have a huge flag and we're considering having 50 scarves made for something like £2 each

I think we need to be careful to not look as though we're criticising our own owners. The message must be clear as to its aim.

I back the general principle of the campaign but as people have pointed out below there needs to be clear objectives:

1. What are we trying to achieve - what would a successful campaign change in football (e.g. Accessible ticket pricing for all)

2. It cannot be discriminatory to anyone, including our owners.

3. It needs to be done in a way that is inclusive, not devisive.

But in general, I hate the way football had gone. Mainly the level of player wages as a ratio to ticket pricing that really gets my blood boiling.

Some good points and advice in these comments for you, jackubu. I suggest that you try contacting the Leicester Mercury and other media outlets, explaining what you're doing while stressing it's nothing against the football club in particular, and especially not the owners. Things like this can easily be misinterpreted.

It might also be worth having someone ring in to the football forum on Radio Leicester the Monday before the Huddersfield match to explain the same thing.

Contacting media outlets is already in the pipeline.
We're not going to shout our mouths off and get kick out because that would be one step forward and 1000 back.

Once we have the support we will then try to talk to other groups and clubs to get what everyone wants.
