If you were a business owner and you were looking to sell one of your prized assets within a given time frame, would you publicise it? Ie, publicly inform competitors that he was available, especially if you had decided to offload and replace within that given window? It seems a bit odd to me. Wouldn't you just have a quiet word with all the agents that you regularly deal with and play it that way, rather than everyone knowing that we have put ourselves in the posiition that we have no choice but to sell said player, thus reducing our negotiating power and thus the price/value?

Ever thought the club want to sell him, that's warnock wants to sell him, thus desperate for a sale, so advertise it.
Said it before both jones and warnock have at different times this season stated how poor becchio been.

If this was at becchio then why don't you think?
First off club did not want to sell him, he wanted to leave.,
Becchio agent wants the best deal for his player, so would have let has many people has he could so he could get the best deal out of has many clubs has can.
Nothing you can do to stop this.
