Is Hooper not signing an extension with us because he simply doesn't want to, or is it because we aren't making him an offer that matches him with the highest earners such as Joe Ledley on £30,000 p/w???
This is what my thinking is...(and I'm expecting someone to tell me why this isn't the reality lol)...
We make Hooper an offer that makes him one of the highest earners in the team, keep him till the summer and then sell him...Surely if he kicks on for the rest of the season, does well against Juventus and keeps banging the goals in, by the time we get to the summer, and if he has signed an extension, we will have more offers for him for more money...
Hooper gets his move to the Premier League, probably for a better team than Norwich, and we only pay him his inflated salary for 6 months or something...everyones a winner...

I don't think he will be expecting to be payed more or the same as the club captain but I think he has the right to ask for the same wages as Ledley....
I know we got Ledley for free, which probably loosened the purse strings in terms of his wages, but that's not Hoopers problem...he's been one of our best performers for 3 seasons so he should be payed as such...
And I am almost certain he will want away in the summer anyway

The captain should always be the highest paid player
