This transfer window is definitely a failure overall. I'm happy that Chamakh has gone on loan, but this is counteracted by Bendtner coming back from Juventus. Djourou going on loan is inexplicable since a new CB hasn't come in, an injury to any of the 3 CBs and suddenly the remaining 2 will be expected to play every game for the rest of the season.
Bringing in Nacho was a very good move. Santos does look out of shape, and this essentially confirms that his career with Arsenal is over. He may have been scheduled to come in in summer, but he has arrived now due to the injury to Gibbs. This tells me that if Gibbs hadn't got injured, he wouldn't have come in, which concerns me.
Arsenal require a striker, as at the moment all 3 of the strikers play every game. That will take its toll towards the end of the season, and one more face (that isn't purely forehead) to add some rotation was almost essential. That this didn't happen is very disappointing.
Further, some strength in midfield since Frimpong & Coquelin don't seem to be trusted, and Diaby & Rosicky struggle to stay fit. I've been pleasantly surprised by Ramsey in the holding roll, and Arteta is back now, but the failure to sign anyone when Sissoko, M'Vila, and Diame were all available is also disappointing.
Overall, I'd give this window a 3 out of 10. Great that Nacho came in - he'll add something to the squad for the next few years - but he only came in because Gibbs was injured. Chamakh went out, Bendtner is back, so no wages saved there. Djourou went on loan, leaving the team short at CB, no striker came in, and the midfield looks a little lightweight (which is strange as there's Cazorla, Wilshere, Arteta, Ramsey, Diaby, Coquelin & Rosicky currently available).
If the team can stay fit until seasons end, then they have a good chance of Top4. Personally I think it's 50/50 at this stage, and I would have liked a couple of signings to send out a message that just Top4 isn't enough, and they're trying to build on what they have to progress upwards.
At present it seems Arsene is content just to tread water in 4th place, picking up the cash, but never really challenging for either the Title or the CL.

We have big squad just by number not by quality. We should have signed DMF and Villa esque striker to give AW to rotate players...you are right, we are couple of injuries away from loosing 4th Spot. Just hope all first team members remain fit for rest of the season.

He's injured, out for the season, so back from his loan spell.

The left back is a good addition but the glaring holes in central midfield and attack should have been addressed.
It's negligent not to.

He didn't play much how he got injured?

I'd agree, but the silver lining being that Spurs and Everton haven't pulled up many trees either.
Holtby will be a good move for Spurs, but a top striker (they missed out on Damiao because of the price apparently) could have sent them on their way for 4th spot in a very strong position.
A striker would have been lovely. But I would actually rather the club get a Villa than an Adrian Lopez, who would be a reasonably expensive gamble.
The squad's fairly thin on overall nailed-on quality. Monreal will hopefully be an astute bit of business, both short and longterm.
