Rovers travel to Gigg Lane hoping to keep up the momentum of a promotion push. They will be backed by over 2,000 fans making the trip across the Pennines.
With no game last week, Manager Brian Flynn took a squad to Manchester to play a Man U reserve side and to give some players match practice. Rovers lost 2-1 with Kyle Bennett scoring our goal. Martin Woods came through 50 mins unscathed and is available for selection today along with Billy Paynter, back from suspension. The only player likely to be missing is Iain Hume who has not recovered from a knock he received in training.
Bury will have new signings, full back Carl Regan and Camreoon midfielder Valery Mezague available from the transfer window and have gone nine games without a win. There is also a possibility that former Rovers loanee David Healy, could also make a comeback from injury, but another former Rover Adam Lockwood is gone for the season.
Rovers must not get complacent as Manager Brian Flynn has watched Bury recently and says they are a hard team to break down. Kevin Blackwell has spent time improving their defence.
Rovers won the home game in August at the Keepmoat 2-1 with goals from Kyle Bennett and Chris Brown.
Todays referee is Tony Bates from Staffordshire assisted by Christopher Akers and Lee Metcalf, the fourth official is Barry Cropp.

I wasnt able to contribute yesterday folks so for what it is worth:-
Everyone in their right mind knows that we wont win every week so no teddys out of the pram from me.
As luck had it a defeat wasnt too bad yesterday as most of our rivals tasted defeat as well.
If we had scored one we could well have got one or two more.
Ok only four shots on target but we did manage sixteen shots in the game so the performance cant have been too bad.
No doubt we will lose again before the season is over but i guess we will win a couple that no-one expects us to do.
Roll on Saturday so we can put this one behind us.
RTID.

Well said, Hound. By the way, Dickov at Oldham and Curle at Notts County are on their way. Who would be a football manager these days.

Could be the kick up the arris the players need, thinking they just had to turn up for the points. Complacency is one thing, cocky attitude but not doing the business is another. We could look back on this game at the end of the season as the one that pushed us on towards the championship.
Trust in BF n RJ to sort it.

BVZ - i would be very suprised if the players did think that they just had to turn up and the win was theirs.
However, i DO think the same thought was with the fans, including all of us on 606.
No one in the DPL predicted anything else but a win.
I suppose it shows how far we have come but it does prove that nothing in football is certain.
The team hasnt become a bad one overnight and we will bounce back from this.

I remember us beating top-of-the-table Southampton last season and no-one saw that coming either.
One swallow doth not a summer make and we still easily finished bottom. Perhaps the Bury result will help function to produce a reverse image to last season's league position.
