10 points between 4th bottom and 7th. The league has compressed considerably since us, Wendys, Ipswich and Brissle started to pick up points. Even Posh are still in with a shout, there's a lot of teams with 30 odd points but no form who need to be careful. Everyone up to Charlton in 12th could get sucked in if they have slump in results. We have given ourselves a great chance, it's going to be interesting whatever happens

I love this new Barnsley.

To be honest we played some good stuff in the first half of the season like at Blackburn and Leeds and got nowt for it. I think the system change to 3 at the back suits our players and it's cut out that soft centre we had defensively. Also Flicker has given us a bit more of a goal threat and those 2 changes have made us much more competitive now.

Well done Flicker and co. I like the momentum we've got now, can't remember the last time we had it!

We got ourselves back in contention to stay up now, so hopefully will get the required results!

We've known all along that we're a decent side. All that was needed was a bit of self-belief, a goal-threat and cutting out silly defensive mistakes.

Flicker has addressed all 3 very quickly. We now pass the ball forwards much quicker, instead of faffing about across the back and the change of system was inspired.

We have options up front and are creating and converting more chances. The signings recently have been players with proven quality and it says a lot about Flicker that he could persuade the likes of Jason Scotland to sign when there were much bigger clubs sniffing.

Most of all, there is a new confidence and togetherness about the players. They have a real hunger to win and actually look like they believe they can win every game. The football is still good but we're turning those good performances into points now.

Obviously we won't get carried away, although if our S6 friends were on a 6-match unbeaten run then Radio Sheffield would be inundated with calls about reaching the play-offs. We've given ourselves a lifeline and as long as we keep the momentum going we'll be fine.

It's nice to have a selection headache up front. Scotland has scored two from two sub appearances, Harewood seems to be the main provdider, putting O'Brien through yesterday, and Dagnall also has been hitting the net recently.

As for that what's his name..... Craig David? Bolton seem to be heading towards the drop zone, I wonder if he regrets anything?

What? No comment from U-boat at this stage. Then why am I not surprised?

some how I don't think u-boat can find anything to complain about, he said he always backed against Barnsley, so may be he's lost all his money and topped himself

Great result and we are battling every inch of the way. The luck has turned and we are learning how to win matches. However we won't win all our matches from now on until the end of the season and the next big test is how we recover from a defeat sooner or later...
