We are so crap cos I best player on set pieces (Siggy) still can't find he's feet at the club.

Scoring for set pieces is all about the delivery...

17 corners and I didnt think we were going to score from a single one.

I think it smacks of conceit.

We think of ourselves as a footballing side so do not prioritise set pieces. No emphasis given in training; no hassle from the manager if come the end of a match we've had 17 corners and not threatened from one. Pullis would attempt his own variant of 'the hair-dryer' in such circumstances.

Bad decision in my opinion - if we were at least average in this department it could make a huge difference come the end of the season.

It seriously is an area we need to do much better in. I mean our corner delivery is shocking a lot times - Kyle Walker needs to stop taking corners full stop! I agree short corners might be a better option as clearly a ball in the box is a waste.

Dimmock We were a bit better at first after Rafael 'can't even clear the first man' De Vaart left. But we seem to have gone backwards. I think there is a bit of a reliance culture among the players (not staff necessarily) where we don't see them as valuable - 'oh don't worry Bale will sort us a goal out'. We need to be more clinical, more determined.

Should be sorted by now, but perhaps AVB can only concentrate on one thing at one time, I think that's reasonable. We have arrested our horrendous late goal shipping since he increased intensitification at the end of training sessions for example

I have said since day one on the coaching side that AVB and the coaches need two clear seasons to show their true mettle (or lack thereof).

Walker used to be decent at corners...not any more...but he has been a bit better recently generally, so that is a plus

Bale gave way to Holtby (after he came on) for the corners today...that lad looks full of drive and intent, marvellous to see

The 'pundits' were creaming themselves over Bale and comparing him to Messi and Ronaldo He did have a great game, but until he can take a decent freekick that at least hits the target he doesn't come close.

Set pieces and Spurs don't mix If AVB can sort that out then imo we will truely hit NEW LEVEL
