Hi all, Blackburn Rovers fan here.
We've apparently had a bid turned down for the player in the title, just wondering how highly rated he was (I don't know a lot about him if I'm honest) and how would you feel about letting him leave for Rovers?
All the best for the upcoming season!

He is coming to Rangers not Rovers, just joking.
I think his near future would be better spent down in England than Glasgow as trouble seems to follow him like a bad smell(ie bad mates outside of fitbaw) has all the talent and footballing brain.
If I could compare him to someone you know it would be Teddy Sheringham, Dundee Utd are looking for at least 2m which would still be a bargain!

Alright RT. The boy has bags and bags of ability, he can score goals for fun. Obviously it is a big step up playing in the EPL, however Goodie has all the basic talents required. Would love to see him go to a club like Rovers and do well in your league. All you need to do is stump up the £2 million and you have just got the best young player in Scotland for a bargain price.

Derek riordan was a much better player than goodwillie at same age, but like riordan, goodwillie will fall by the wayside. Both just haven't the right attitude

Big Toe that is a stupid statement which is nothing more than an assumption. Riordan got his big move and didn't sort himself out and subsequently blew his chance. Goodie has had his troubles granted, but the boy has grown up a lot last season and deserves his chance. Let's judge his attitude once he moves to a bigger club. He has all the attributes to play at the top level and if his attitude is right is as good as we have had in this country for a long time.

17 goals last season, but crucially also 10 assists. Not many out-and-out strikers will get you that return on assists.
Whilst I think Blackburn would be a decent destination for him (especially if Hanley comes the other way... *cough*) I'm disappointed that it's only been English teams that are looking at him. He'd be better suited to Germany where he wouldn't be kicked up and down the park constantly and wouldn't have balls fired at his head all day long as he would in the EPL. Whilst he is quick and strong, he's not lighting-fast or built like a tank, which again may hinder him in a league where physical presence takes precident over actual footballing ability.

Bid of 2.8M accepted, great piece of business by us, great move for the player, and great buy for Blackburn Rovers.

Don't think he will set the EPL on fire right away but if you're patient with him, I think he'll come good.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm hoping that he isn't rushed into PL football until he's ready, because talent can be wasted that way (ie Kalinic). From what you're saying he may need a bit of work in the gym but I hope he comes good.
Hope you spend the money wisely and get a bit closer to the Old Firm lot

Not that strong???
He knocked out an 18 stone rugby playing bouncer with one punch!
I am sure he will score goals against the bottom half of the EPL. 10 goals would be a decent target first season
