according to internet and paper reports not always the most accurate i know .
if this does happen what are your thoughts on this could a more experienced premier league keeper help de gea or would it destroy his confidence ?
if true looks like lindegaard will be off. im not knocking de gea before any one starts i think he is the best shot stopper in the league hope we keep him
begovic and de gea for next season

Quite simply, De Gea is still young and will improve. Sure he makes mistakes, which as a goalkeeper playing for Utd will always be highlighted, but the most important factor is that Fergie has faith in him and I believe will stick with him.
I think we will get another year at least out of Rio, but he is probably not going to be first choice next season. To replace the likes of Giggs and Scholes (at their peaks) is nigh on impossible, but we have a strong squad and no doubt Fergie will bring in a couple in the summer. A midfielder would appear to be top priority, but I'm sure Fergie has ideas of who he wants to bring in.

De Gea has cost us 2 points at Spurs this season, but his saves in that game stopped us from going behind earlier in the game and in other games have gained us at least 9. Yes he makes the odd mistake but we saw two of the supposedly best keepers in the league/Europe make a bagful today at the Etihad. If we had lost more points than gained then I would understand the need for Begovic, but he has saved us more.

His save from the mata free kick last season was incredible, no other keeper could make that save!

De Gea didn't cost us 2 points against Spurs he gained us a point
We got battered in that game he made loads of saves, we were lucky to have De Gea on top form to earn us a point.

If he takes these critisms and improves onhis weakness he could be one of the best keepers in the world. But that will take time to sort out. Not months, but a few seasons. It depends on whether he is up to the challange of being number 1 here or thinks it would be easier to head back home.
My issue would be if we bought in Stoke's keeper, who is solid, right now and sell De Gea to Barca, we'll have people going on about De Gea being world class and why United sold him to Barca and bought in Bergovic.

you can look at it whichever way you want but de gea has not had a "good" season, at best he has been decent or maybe even average.

Stoke want £15 mil for Begovic. I would be astonished if we paid that, given our investment in De Gea.
