Say or think what you may of City and Chelsea but they are one of the main reasons interest in English football is at an all time high.I cant even imagine what the premiership would be like without Roman and the Sheikhs money.
yes the tradition will be there, the fans would still flock to the grounds but what of the football and quality of players.
Same applies to Mario's move, the italian league needed this,Milan needed this and I guess a few new viewers tuned in to watch a full Sierra A game in donkey years.
Whatever you think of Mario, his persona and antics make people want to watch him.Young City fans hoped he would prove the critics wrong, they had a cult hero not of the dickov kind, but one who was known outside of Manchester.
He is gone but still graces the back pages of the English press. In terms of a marketing tool I have always felt Mario is an agents dream. If he plays just half to his potential Raiola will rake in millions. But there is always the chance it could all blow up on an evening of recklessness.
There is an opportunity in italian football, Juventus maybe top dogs but they still dont have the pulling power of Milan.Milan just need a few more stars just like Bayern so that they can go at it in europe again.
European football needs italian football to be strong. It may not have worked out for Mario at City but these things happen.Henry was hardly a success at Barca and sometimes certain players can only fulfil their potential if they are the main guy.
At City Aguero is the main guy, hardly a prolific goal score but a wonderful player and that applies to Silva and Nasri.I dont think Nasri can ever be a winger. His best position is behind the striker and at City he would only be in Silva and Yayas way who are 2 players way better than he is.
If Milan sign him and play him behind Mario he will be a hit in the slow Italian league.
Good deal for both City and the player.Lets be frank mario was god awful this season, just like a certain Mr Tevez, he needed to go home and enjoy the game again.early days but I suspect he will be back in the premiership.
Wonder with which team though?
Mario is Sierra A's meal ticket

@j, edward delmonte (U3109)
Its a bit too early to say he will prove his doubters wrong but definitel those who said he has no ability some even comparing him to Bendtner and welbeck are just idiots.
The thing with Mario is his head.He gets that right he will excell. If he doesnt then he could go the way of Adriano or other talented players who lost the plot.
What I do like about Mario through the witch hunts is his team mates always seem to appreciate his abilities.

Some people have obviously never heard of the expression " one swallow does not a summer make".
Lets see how a full season goes before jumping to premature conclusions.
I wish Mario well and really do hope he proves me wrong but some people just seem to think that Mario's impressive debut is a justifiable reason to have a go at City. The guy obviously did not settle here which was nothing to do with the club who gave him every opportunity to reward the faith placed in him by Mancini.

Sorry but Juve are one of the biggest clubs in world football with a massive fan base! Have a huge pulling power of anybody and its a club at present moment that doesn't need huge wages to get players there. They are the most successful Italian team of all time and is the number one supported team in Italy.....something most English clubs can only dream of!
