"Hope they don't come after pearson.
He's from nottingham and might be tempted"

You created a profile, for that?

We might mock.
But there but for the grace of God go us...
It is only a matter of months since we all feared that Top and Co. were ready to ditch Nigel. The rumours were strong enough for Stringer and the Mercury to try and quiz the club and required Redknapp to issue some form of denial.
Personally, I reckon if we hadn't put that short run together after the League Cup Burton fiasco he would be long gone by now.
Top and his Dad seem to be keeping well away from the limelight these days and even now there are few if any public vosts of support for the manager, despite how well he is doing.
If we don't go up this year I reckon he'll be out no matter how much of an injustice that would be.

For Fox Sake,
I'm not saying that Nigel P will stay indefinitely - and if he goes then you could hardly blame him. There were plenty of idiots giving him loads of criticism before he'd been given time just like they did Martin O'Neill.
But to Forest? Surely not. NP doesn't tolerate fools gladly, which kind of rules out working with Forest's present owners. If someone like Newcastle, Aston Villa or another failing PL club came in - then I'm not so sure he'd feel any loyalty given the way he was treated in certain quarters (as you rightly point out).

Nigel Pearson has just been spotted outside the City ground!!!
He was pointing and laughing just like everybody else.

So crazy is football today, Pearson may be just as likely to be binned if we DO get promoted as if we don't, if the owners' heads get turned by some flash and available foreigner....

Joby
I wasn't saying for a minute that I thought Pearson might go to Forest. Just that, as we all laugh at Forest, we should remember that our own far eastern owners were apparently considering dispensing with our manager's services only a short time ago. And what a mistake that would have been.
As you say, should a Premier League club come calling I would be surprised if showed much loyalty to City's owners. As a certain Mr McGhee once told us as he shuffled off up the M6 to Wolves - Loyalty in football is for the fans alone. It doesn't apply to players or managers...

It's a shame. I liked what he was doing at Forest;
L-L-D-W-L-L-D.
You just couldn't make it up.
