So reviews are coming in, and it seems that Dead Space 3 is everything I hoped it wouldn't be - watered down horror, generic 3rd person shooter macho buddy Gears clone, DLC from day one including a "classic" mode that should be in the game anyway, and co-op only sections (as well as co-op achievements). Well EA, you've convinced me to buy this - second hand in about 2 years time, maybe.

All dlc is a rip-off. Its already on the disc, you're just paying for it to be unlocked.
If you have a PC and are tech-savvy enough you can bypass it.

you can't honestly believe that.

not a question of belief.
Alright, its not every game but there are plenty of games where people are being charged for dlc that is already programmed on disc.
Two recent examples being Mass Effect 3 and Streetfighter X Tekken.

I also think that Bioshock 2 was also one of the games that came with DLC locked to the disk.
Have to agree that games that release such things are crooks, charging people for content they already own.

The content "people already own" may have not been funded by the original budget. It may have been added on at a later time. I don't think the gaming industry is completely crooked...although EA

Based on similarities? No.

C-Rex, get the first one cheap off ebay because it is still one of the best games available this gen. It is a TPS survival horror game set on a space ship where something has gone really badly wrong...
I have played it through about 10 times now, and I'm still not bored of it.
