Below are a selection of jump-the-gun comments made when reports surfaced that Ben Foster may be leaving.
"depressed that we are run by a bunch of crooks who want to bleed us dry"
"If this is correct this shows us that there is little or no chance we would ever see the Prem again under Carson Yeungs Chinese Circus"
"If you loan all your best players out or sell them, you probably wont go back up, in fact you wont even make the playoffs relying on players like Doyle Gomis and Mutch."
"this really does look like the s;;t is hitting the fan"
"They will do a ken wheldon soon and start taking every other lightbulb out to save on the leccy bill."
"....£1.5M hit of Fosters wages is too much for the club to handle then what hope do we have of bringing in anyone and keeping anyone worth more than £1M and on over £15K
....and now
We let Foster leave on loan to a club who send us a readily available Goalkeeper eager to prove a point in return in Boaz Myhill.
This is fantastic business.
I have been gearing up for next season with Colin Doyle in goal, and had been very happy about that - I rate Doyle in this league. But this addition has made the picture look even better.
Myhill - Doyle - Butland. We may even loan Butland or Doyle out and give Maik Taylor a short term deal. Who knows?
So what happens if we sell Dann, Jerome, Ridgewell?? We could be looking at very decent free transfers, loans or even cheaper transfers in return - yes, that could happen.
I'm so excited for this season!! Come on the Blues.

The filter doesn't do it for all Taity, just whoever chooses to use it.
It's a bit like playing a computer game online and having some fool shouting abuse down the mic, and then you having the ability to mute them.
JH Baggie has no inteeligent input into a thread, and I have tried to reason with him. Therefore the filter has been applied.
If you want to read his rubbish or are good at ignoring it, then that is your decision not to apply it.

Quite right Taity
I am guilty of having a dig at a certain ED.
There is dislike and animosity from both of us.
But hey, not all the eggs in a basket roll the same way.

Is that Dogen you refer to?
What's the problem with him as i've never seen an unreasonable post from him but he seems to have few friends on here.
Is he offensive?

I see, I thought the op could remove his or her comments on that article or ban them from comenting.
Mind you, its not much use if others just reiterate their comments anyway
As the filter is just down to the individual who chooses what way he or she wishes to ignore the wum then I have to agree it seems quite a good option. I didnt fully understand its format before

Yeah, that's right.
JH Baggie is the only person I have on filter. Not even Cordonwuss, as he can amuse me.
I created this thread, but you should still be able to see JHBaggie's posts.
The reiteration is a good point though
I wonder if they can introduce a filter for a collective rather than just individuals. 'Arsenal Fans' for example.....

Steviecarr,
Dogan it is.
I just dont like the way he rounds on anyone who offers a different view.
He comes across (to me at least) as bombastic. Pretentious.
We all have a right to hold opinions without interference. He always offers unopposable sermons and dances around the core of a given subject.
He reckons I've got 20,000 people backing me up. What insanity is that?
I would genuinely like to cut the top off his skull and see whats inside.

I don't think it's a freedom of speech issue. It is more down to the fact that Cordon, JHBaggie et al quite literally (and I do not exaggerate) are the football forum equivalent of white noise.
Everyone tries to have a discussion about a footballing subject, they contribute and the footballing conversation which I was probably enjoying ceases and the thread descends into farce.
It bores me. But not anymore thanks to the filter!

Well im off down the blues later to protest about this shower running our club.
Now certain people wont agree with that, and choose to label me an idiot, thats fine carry on but why dont you come down and tell us all we are idiots instead of doing it on here?
We are all entitled to our opinion, and ive said mine all over this forum enough times i wont do it again. Least i can vent my anger at the jokers running the club i love.
As far as im concerned we are being asset stripped by this lot and when the money runs out from the players we sell they will just sell more and replace with has beens and rubbish which we are well in the process of doing.
Have a good day everybody, i will.

KBM... you are not an idiot, I am not too keen on the board either but McLeish is the root cause of our relegation not them.
The board, or owners, are the root cause of our pre season preparation being a non event... freebees and reserves is what we have this season... we will be lucky to avoid L1 next season unless some of these rich Chinese owners dig into their pockets

"..£1.5M hit of Fosters wages is too much for the club to handle then what hope do we have of bringing in anyone and keeping anyone worth more than £1M and on over £15K"
That was my qoute and a valid one, if the hit of Fosters wages is too much then surely we wont be able to sign any free agent for over £15K a week or Players over £1M
That means no to the likes of Billy Sharp, Routledge, or frees like maybe Koumas etc.
As far as Myhill goes its a good move but depends on the deal.
If there is no fee just a strait swap then all we have gained is replace Foster for Myhill and saved what £1M wages £1.25M Tops.
If its about £1M i think for the purpose of Promotion the difference a Foster would offer over Myhill is greater than the £1M odd savings in wages.
Seems we in effect no we dont have any chance of Promotion well not as far as being Top 4-5 contenders and so may aswell save every bit of wages we can.
No i understand whats going on, but to me it would kind of be like a club who has SEB letting him go out to save his wages in exchange for say a Nugent.
When you can almost garuntee SEB would score more goals.
Foster would have saved a lot of points this season
