Do any Liverpool fans reckon that Coutinho should start?
I reckon that we should be looking to beat west brom comfortably.
In my opinion it should be the same team that played City except Coutinho for downing.
Coutinho ?

I think its madness to be talking of him being a starter. He's young, injured of late, hasn't pulled on a shirt for us or any other team in months and now people are speakign of how he has already moved ahead of suso, sterling, downing etc in the pecking order. aren't we getting a bit carried away here?

Yeah he needs to be played as much as possible to get him ready for hitting the ground running next season, however Sterling has been benched lately after poor form after a great start to the season and I think he deserves a chance to get back in the team.

He started like every game when he went to spain, and scored 5 goals in 16 games, so he can handle it, i dont expect him to start straight away, but after a few games coming off the bench i expect he will be in our starting 11

Starting games for espanyol doesn't matter. I'm sure lots of poor players have started games and scored some goals for them. Doesn't mean they would walk into the liverpool starting lineup.
But hey, what do I know. I'd never even heard of the kid until a couple of weeks ago. Thankfully the good people of 606 have a great indepth knowledge of him and his time in the lower reaches of la liga.

The main problem Coutinho had at Inter is he wasn't being played enough. I doubt he would have come to us unless he thought he would be playing more, also giving him the number 10 shirt is a statement in it's self.
Talent wise he is up there with the best we have.

Never heard of Coutinho?!
The kid was talked about as the next Brazilian superstar when he was 18. He was labelled the future of Inter by the Inter president. Simply they had to sell as they are in a bit of financial trouble. But in the past season he came on leaps and bounds, going on loan to Spain and having a great influence of La Liga.
I'm really excited about this one. Could be an absolute bargain.

I think he will be a regular starter for us too once he has found his fitness.
This is a guy who has already made nearly 100 senior appearances, most at a very high level.
I don't see him as being too similar to Suso, I think he is quicker and more of a dribbler. Suso can dribble but his cute passing is his best attribute.
Suso's time will come. He only turned 19 in November, still very young for a player of his type (Coutinho is 20 months older).

Yes, I have learned all of this in the last two weeks by reading the news. Prior to that I had never seen him play.
And i think he got the number 10 shirt because it was available and he chose it. I don't think it has anything to do with him being a nailed on starter.
Like I said, I think a lot of people are jumping the gun here as have done before with the pachecos, the coates, the ayalas, the morgans etc. Personally I'll reserve judement until I see him play.

I know nothing about him but if we are looking for consistency then I don;t think he should start. If we are winning by a couple of goals then bring the kid on ,at home, and bed him in gradually.
I do think Skrtel will start against City though due to the pace of their attack. I think Carra payed because Dzeko did.
