Two thirds of the season gone...

...who do you think will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

Swindon fan in peace.

I fully expect you to be top of league 1 by 5pm Saturday. Walsall will be a tough game but I see you winning and Tranmere failing to win at the Os. Overall however I see Bournemouth as likely Champions with you in the second spot. As for the next four places I think they'll be taken by Tranmere, Brentford, Swindon (assuming our change of ownership goes through ok and we keep our manager, and that's a couple of big 'ifs') and one other from the chasers, possibly MKD if they can get their act together or even Yeovil if they can maintain their form. Coventry are too inconsistent. I think Sheffield Utd will finish outside the top six, they've lost momentum and their top scorer and seem low on confidence.

All thoughts and comments appreciated.

The funny thing is, i had a bit of a premonition at the start of October.
Somehow it came into my head that it would be us and the Blunts in the play off final.
Everyone on here seems to have written off the Blunts and i sort of agree, except to me they would now be the outsiders.
As it happens i genuinly feel that we can go on to win the title.

1. Bournemouth
2. Donny/Tranmere
3. Tranmere/Donny
4. Swindon
5. Brentford
6. Sheff Utd

Would be delighted with that

Swindon have to play, Tranmere, Brentford, Sheff U, MKDons and us all away. That could be a bonus for us, or not as they have their destiny in their own hands. Either way I dont think the table will be sorted till the last 2 games.

Thanks for all your contributions...not surprisingly I like Northborders best.

There seems to be quite a lot of consensus about the top 6. I guess we're both disappointed by our results yesterday. We had the added irritation of having to endure wild celebrations from one of our ex players after he scored the equaliser. He did it a couple of years ago too. All our ex players score against us...why does that always seem to happen?

We've no game next Saturday, our next game is away to Tranmere. I guess you'd all prefer a draw? I'd take that if it were offered now.

Still a fair way to go and I agree that it will go to the wire.

JHB...congratulaions on your current run of form but I don't think Walsall will win the League, outsierd for play-offs maybe

JHB - sound. I have great admiration for Steve Clarke as a manager. I expect you to regain your earlier form very soon.
