Villarreal are rising into the Play-Off places after a convincing win against Ponferradina, at El Madrigal.
Jonathan put Villarreal into the lead after 34minutes and Jérémy Perbet struck either side of half-time to lift El Submarino Amarillo to seventh in the table.
Villarreal have now taken seven points from a possible nine in the last three games, and crucially each result has been accompanied by a clean sheet.
On the way up.

Marcelino's a good manager and he DID promise to take you up after all...
Great result. Plus Girno dropped 2 points at home to Hercules. Barça B lost, not that they count. Elche v Cordoba and Alcorcon-Las Palmas mean more of the top teams will be dropping points. Could turn out to be a v good week.

I couldn't get a stream for the game, so I will need to wait on highlights.
But the fact that it is three clean sheets in a row is very promising and I could not see it happening whatsoever after the Real Madrid B game.
