Just tuned into fan zone and thats the opinion of Hutchingson?
That to me is a joke. In a recession and FFP environmement that is 20 million too much.
Put it this way how much do you think Aguero, Mata or Hazard are worth?
They are certainly not worth 60 million and Mata is in my opinion the far better all round player.
When a team spends 60+ million on a player its not about current form. You dont spend 60 million for current form, you have to factor in potential return, at least 5 years at the top.
Look at the mistake Madrid made on Kaka.55 million on a player past 25 is too much in any market. I dont think Ronaldo is worth anything more than 60 million and Bale cant be in that bracket yet.
Only Messi is well worth more than 60 million and thats because of his age.
Gareth Bale worth 60 million?

Bale is worth around £18-22m - definitely a very good player, but no miracle worker.

Absolute non-sense. He is worth at least £40 million. He is very important to Spurs and they will not sell him for less than that. If Modric went for £30 odd million then clubs will pay over £40 million for Bale. He is also only 23 with plenty of time on his side.

18-22M is pretty harsh.
At least 35M, if he keeps up his form, 45M.

Bale creates hype due to the fact he's scoring a lot for a winger and he's fast and atheltic. A bit like ronaldo did back in 06/07. Plus he's British so media tend to get more excited.
Any player who's fast and powerful AND very good tends to get more attention as they're easy on the eye.

OK, my offer was pretty harsh. But you've gotta low-ball the seller if you want a decent deal Realistically, I would go £10m more than what I actually said but no higher.
Bale is a consistent scorer. However, he doesn't score floods of goals, doesn't run a game like the mega stars can and is easily above any other player at his club because he doesn't have any competition so he is made to look far better than he actually is. Don't get me wrong - he is a very good player. But I can still think of players I would rather have, two of which we used to have but who left us.

You need to accept the fact that Denilson and Bendtner are not coming back.

Don't say that, AHB. Don't tread on my dreams.

It amazes me in this Country, a player excels in 3/4 matches and his projected value jumps tenfold. If he keeps up yesterdays performance from now until the end of the season I would still only value him at 30mil max.

In the last 4 games, Bales was the match winner:
Norwich Vs Spurs (1 goal)
West Brom vs Spurs (1 goal)
Wales vs Austria (1 goal)
Spurs vs Newcastle (2 goals)
That's already more than 3/4.
