From SO'D' Mouth

Fawaz did not interfere with his team selection, he had no reason to lie about this, following his sacking he has no need to tow the party line with the owners so let's hope we can finally put that to rest. For me the only influence he has on signings apart from maybe Rashidi, Pep (who the vast majority of us wanted) and possibly JJ (as the 'big' signing') have been purely on contracts and valuation of players and as much as I'd love to see some more quality players come in I certainly don't want us to pay inflated prices just because it's perceived we have money.
People may talk about the Boyd fiasco but nobody (except the player) comes out of this very well. A caller to Radio Nottingham this week was calling Fawaz saying that this is not how we do business in this country - how do we do business then do we go on Twitter calling an Opening Bid derisory ? (hell imagine if we all did that when selling on E-bay when the first bid was a bit low). Do we tell everyone that by all accounts he was as good as signing for Crystal Palace, then somehow still send him somewhere else? Both done by the Posh Chairman. Or do we have no contact with the club of a player we want to sign but instead constantly keep ringing the player trying to get him to come to us - tapping up I think that's called - as that nice honest Ian Holloway has been accused of doing?
Also it's been said that AM was not backed in January, we brought in four players, that is four more than the last four January windows put together.

Get a life Igor, what do you do look at the Forest board every five minuites looking for the latest post. This was only posted on the Forest board and you were still obviously looking at them at gone two o'clock in the morning as you posted 52 mins ago. Sad Sad Sad. By the way I am on a night shift on my break that is why I am awake.
One question, in what way shape or form does this have anything to do with Derby.

It's getting a bit pathetic now all the Derby lot constantly, and I mean CONSTANTLY, on our board and hijacking articles. One of the things I like most about this board is the interaction with other teams fans, which you don't get on other forums. But them lot constantly coming out with the same rubbish day after day is getting boring.

Agree with you though Jacko. Fawaz obviously doesn't interfere to the extent some would have you believe. He has made some poor decisions so far though, which make some of Doughty's dubious choices look like absolute mensa moments! Hopefully he can learn from his mistakes though and wr can now enjoy some much needed stability down the City Ground

King Jacko, We're here because it's great sport. You just could not make up what has happened to Forest in the last few months.

Your mention of "perceived MONEY" in your article. I think nobody except you perceives money apart from that which goes to paying-off staff and board members

Your mention of "perceived MONEY" in your article. I think nobody except you perceives money apart from that which goes to paying-off staff and board members. It's just occurred to me that a certain vertically challenged Scottish gentleman will have his eye on that pay off money and he's already had some of it from a previous pay-out.

What SOD also said yesterday (apparently) is that NFFC 'are a great club, with a great set of fans.. (etc)...they just need some decent owners now'!
Hopefully he is saying that just becuase he's p'eed off about being let go.

He's done a good job at BC since he's been though though. Good luck to him (he still can't give a post-match interview though!)

The reason we pop over here, guys, is to see whether you are all right. It's like any caring person would do - we just look in on our older, less fortunate neighbour every now and again to see whether you need anything - the papers fetching, the groceries, a nice cup of tea or in your case to see whether you've soiled your bed again.

We don't judge you, even though the stench is somewhat fetid - we realise that you can't help it.

From the BBC website.

Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll:

"People asked me if I wanted to win more because we were playing Forest and I didn't understand the question. "How could I want to win more than usual? If that was the case I must have been approaching other games the wrong way. "Forest are a great club with a great fan base. What they need is great owners. "I got on with everyone there except the owners. It was nice to be cheered by their fans, but I would have been disappointed if they had insulted me after I left the club a point outside the play-off zone."

You gotta laugh

SOD is just the manager Forest should try to sign up. Maybe after the little Scotsman has taken his next slice of pay-out money you could think about getting SOD as your manager

I read another interview in a paper during last week, which claimed direct quotes from Fawaz, included something along the lines of: We needed a Right winger, and a left back, but AM had invited Boyd for a medical - who could play in neither position. I personally believe that Fawaz didn't like what Mccleish had in mind, and asked him to resign.

At least we know Billy isn't going to turn down the offer of a left back.
