Melbourne's big 3 ready to take on Leeds

The news of the Melbourne trio of star players playing against Leeds will excite some, those going to the match to see some good quality rugby league, not to sure how the Leeds fans will think of this though...

MELBOURNE Storm captain Cameron Smith's broken nose may end his modelling career but it won't stop him flying to London for the World Club Challenge.

He will lead a 21-man group that includes six players yet to wear a Storm jersey and three youngsters yet to make their NRL debuts.

Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk will all go despite Cronk battling a back complaint. Premiership centre Will Chambers passed a Saturday morning fitness test to book his trip.

Kenny Bromwich, who didn't play in Storm's opening two trials because of injury, could replace injured backrower Kevin Proctor and play with brother Jesse.

Smith broke his nose playing for NRL All-Stars against Indigenous All-Stars on Saturday night.
Squad:
Kenny Bromwich, Jesse Bromwich, Will Chambers, Cooper Cronk, Brett Finch, Mahe Fonua, Ben Hampton, Tohu Harris, Ryan Hinchcliffe, Ryan Hoffman, Junior Moors, Bryan Norrie, Justin O'Neill, Jason Ryles, Junior Sa'u, Lagi Setu, Billy Slater, Cameron Smith, Siosaia Vave, Sisa Waqa, Gareth Widdop.

I expect the Storm to win this. If they don't they will say its a pre season trial.
This showcase game needs to be played in the like's of Singapore, Hong kong, Bangkok, Dubai. Places with large expat communitys. We need to chase the corparate dollar on this one,

I agree B-F....play it at Dubai or the like....unfortunately these days it's all about ratings and not so much the gate, so may as well get some money from the rich end of town along the way.

Can one of you lads please give me the thumbs up of what time (UK) this WCC game is programmed to kick-off.....

I've got FOX sports telling me I have to get up @ 3.00a.m Sat. morning, which means a 4.00p.m Fri kick-off U.K which seems to early for a Fri. game.

Then the news-paper is telling me it's on @ 7.00a.m of which makes it a 8p.m U.K kick-off which sounds more plausible...
