Neil Lennon has been commenting on the amount of offers of help that Celtic have received from many different sources who would like to pass on information that may help them in their quest to conquer one of the giants of European football.
There’s so much at stake on this match, the recognition of Scotland as a football nation, the kudos of Celtic as a force once again in Europe and the coefficient of Scottish clubs in Europe.
Meanwhile in the darkest pits of football which is the Scottish third division a team of no-marks have offered a helping hand to Celtic’s opponents and tried to dress it up as an approach by the Italians.
But as they stand there with egg on their face (not for the first time, Kirk) the Italians have thanked them for the offer they put to them but they are not sure if it will be taken up. At least Judas apologised when found out.
