Christian Eriksen- Man Utd and Liverpool go

toe-to-toe-for-Christian-Eriksen

Don't really believe it to be honest, but if we do want him, we'll get him.
If Liverpool get him, it just tells us that we were not in for him.

After the England game a year or two ago when he really announced himself to the english media, the Youtube clips had him attacking down the left

Maybe he has been moved more centrally now but he looked good there at the time.

Cheers TRC

The comment wasnt actually aimed at you though

Sometimes, for example, I listen to say United fans and Scousers arguing about who id the best between Zaha and Ince.

I read the posts knowing they are jut talking bollox. Like everyone of them has watched every Blackpool and Palace game live this season

Ive seen little of Zaha but I did watch some of the game on Friday night and he didnt particularly stand out for me

No worries, Macca.

Yeah, i see that sort of stuff all the time but i just roll my eyes at it all.

I too have seen very little of Zaha - but the little i have i also have not been overly impressed. But here is to hoping the lad steps up and blows our minds away.

I thought it was only the Arsenal board who did those silly comparison articles. I don't even know why the Scouse are bothered about Ince - he is not their player anymore.

The ignorance on this thread is truly mind boggling.

Ajax play the infamous 4-3-3 and have done since the 70's. It's now part of their DNA. Even their kids teams are taught the formation.

Eriksen is an extremely talented player who could easily play the number 10 role. However he doesn't play that role for them if you actually watch them play. Like some people have already mentioned he is part of the 3 men who play in midfield, often the one who plays on the left.

Ajax even came to Old trafford last season and he didn't play the number 10 role. And he totally bossed that second leg.

I think some people go off football managing games too much. Eriksen is not a number 10 even though he is talented enough to play there.

The Dutch team of the 1970s invented the art of players playiing were they were not expected to

I thought he did quite well in the 2nd half tbh Macca. Saw a lot more of the ball than he did in the 1st half. Showed quick feet and a decent end product at times. Watford were struggling to handle him and the young lad Williams who came on.
