Christ on a bike, is Daniel Agger still at Liverpool? If that is indeed the line up then i'll be at the bookies two weeks on Saturday putting my life's savings on a Sunderland victory. Having said that i imagine they're favourites and i won't get very generous odds

Swap Downing and Suarez around then you have it spot on I think

Also, where is £20 million worth of Jordan Henderson in that line uop?

You would fancy Sunderland to beat that side at Anfield? I know you're a WUM but come on.

Goalkeeper aside, that is far and away the least talented Liverpool line up i've ever seen in my lifetime.

I take both sides on this one.
This is without doubt the worse Liverpool team I have seen in my lifetime excluding Reina but I think they will beat Sunderland on the opening day. Sunderland away from home are poor and I don't see that changing. If it were at SoL, then I would put my money on Sunderland winning.
Home advantage tells and I believe Liverpool will narrowly win.

So you're saying our team last season was better?

The squad wasn't, but the first team certainly was.
This time last year you had a World Class striker, an established Left Back, a promising young winger in Ryan Babel and a World Class holding midfielder in Mascherano.
Babel > Downing
Torres > Carroll
Konchesky > No-one
Mascherano > Henderson
Benayoun > Adam
Liverpools first team IMO has got worse from the beginning of 10/11 to the beginning of 11/12

Let me guess, Babel is all of a sudden world class now that he has left us I wouldn't expect anything else to be honest.
I'd rather have a fit and firing Carroll who wants to be here, than a sulky, lazy Torres who doesn't.
The fact that you've included Konchesky is nothing short of a joke.
Mascherano, like Torres, didn't want to be here and actually went on strike hours before a key game. He is a great player but now we've got someone who wants to be here and prove themselves, and has bags of potential.
Benayoun and Adam are different players, and I am happy that we have got Adam.
There is absolutely no way that our team or squad last season was better than it is now.

As a team who knows? But in terms of individual talent, Liverpool were much better off last year.
I have always rated Babel since he was at Ajax and was gutted when Liverpool bought him, thankfully Rafa ruined him though, before Liverpool he was highly regarded and tipped to be the next Henry.
Konchesky was an average player, in the same mould as Henderson, Adam and Downing, I don't see why it is ridiulous to include him, as of now you are without an experienced left back unless Johnson moves over.
Torres and Mascherano were model professionals and still gave it 100% for Liverpool.
I appreciate what Dalglish is trying to do, but I think it is going to hit some Liverpool fans hard when they realise they aren't as good as they think. It will take time and investment to get LFC back into the top 4
