So after a drawn out transfer saga (and in Albion's case, therefore, lots that could have gone wrong), we finally have signed our keeper for the number 1 shirt.
A 1yr loan with Boaz Myhill going to Birmingham I assume on the same basis e.g. season-long loans with no recall for either keeper during the season.
That leaves Albion looking for another keeper as No 2 to Foster and now we can look at defence, (maybe Ridgewell still?) and another striker to support St Peter.
If there's anyone on here - come on, what's the thinking, who could we be signing.
I still like the idea of Sturridge on loan for the season from Chelsea. Another example of where we can improve the squad without huge expenditure.
Foster Signs and Myhill goes - what next?

His kicking lets him down at times, cost a few goals last season, good shot stopper, ocassional lapses at crosses, Fulham was a good example.
Not as good as some Blues fans think he is, infact some think he is some sort of demi god.
I expect to get slaughtered for this, but thats my opinion

Bluezulu I agree with ur comments. Good solid keeper but won't set the world alight. Let's face it how often does alex ferguson get it wrong? He doesn't let world class, or even good international class players go easily. We will miss him though I am certain of that

Thanks for your opinions guys, i guess for albion fans having a keeper that you wont have to worry about every time the ball gets near the box will be a blessing.

As a shot stopper he is great better than even Hart,
But he does not command his area as good and he also is not good at kicking the ball out.
He also makes a few mistakes and errors of judgement.
To be fair i think he has potential, but he is not worth £10M the club valued him at before Yeungs problems.
£4M is a good buy for WBA, lets hope we get promoted and are able to thus keep him.
I rated him at about £6-7M Tops.

Clean sheet today and so already proving himself a bargin - no offence but I want you to stay in the Championship as I want to keep him

Made a few cracking saves today apparently, hopefully the defence will tighten up, and make his job easier, however hes a fantastic shot stopper, and seems to command his area well, something Carson lacked IMO , fantastic signing

Foster is one of the best keepers in England...anyone who says otherwise is just deluded!

Foster is NOT world class, and anyone who thinks he is, are deluded.
And all the Blues fans who think he is some kind of demi god are also delusional

Well thats just how fickle our fans are
We have heard some say oh Ferguson was average last season, he would not hack it this season.
We have seen some say that Johnson and Gardner are not that great either, such as if you take Gardners goals away he is just average.
If we had stayed up, how many fans would be saying that our players are poor
Foster is a very good Shot Stopper, his ball distribution is not great but better than Taylors. Foster cant command his area that great either but worst is he does make silly mistakes but so does Green and Robinson.
Infact all England keepers have never been World Class apart from Seaman he was our last good keeper but Hart looks like the future and he is a World Class Goalie.
