That felt too much like déjà vu for me.
Flat performance, no real desire or commitment and nobody that looked dangerous enough to create something in the last 3rd of the pitch.
Ok so it's not the end of the world and its not our priority but we looked like we didn't care. Not professional at all.
Wellens was way off the pace and not many others did a damn sight better.
Overal very dissapiointing
Felt like last season

Very easy to give Wellens a kicking, but I don't think he was that bad. There were certainly worse out on the pitch tonight, notably the two forwards and De Laet. The latter was the man who looked completely off the pace - he looked like he was only half there, to the extent that Liam Moore should probably have started.
We were very sloppy and unfocussed at times, but we missed some glorious scoring opportunities as well. Huddersfield were pretty much constantly under the cosh until they got their second and we collectively gave up. Our centre backs played well and they failed to get near our goal for most of the match. One quality free kick and one defensive screw-up from Konchesky ultimately cost us.

kasper made more what i would call saves.. thats a first for us for some time..
alan lee was comical for the right reasons, your big lad up front was comical for all the wrong reasons..
you need to watch knockeart, he gets daft and cr-p when you are losing..
drab game, but we do ok in that type of game and when the sh-t has hit the fan and you are struggling somewhat you will take it..

No hard feelings hopefully. That win could kick start out season again.
And lets face it, we gifted you 6 league points this season in exchange for Wigan at home......not a bad deal really.....!
Oh, and we also appear to have upset the locals if Coventry........something I'm CERTAIN you foxes are quite happy about!!
Good luck for rest of season

Also deeply unimpressed by Pearson's after-match interview. A bit more honesty, about a disgraceful result and a shocking performance, wouldn't have come amiss. Instead we got the usual stubborn defensiveness, without the least hint of a trace of a suggestion of the outside possibility that just perhaps, maybe, at least some teeny tiny part of the blame is HIS.

I actually agreed with Pearson's assessment, Malling. He said we didn't show enough quality in the box, which is correct - both Futacs and Nugent missed fantastic chances. We didn't put our foot on the gas when we needed to and the second goal was very poor from Konchesky's view - he read Scannell's play but didn't put it out for a throw when he had the chance.
I actually thought we looked fairly comfortable for much of the game. However, after they scored their breakaway goal, Huddersfield get a lot of credit for the heart they showed to hold onto their lead. They gave us nothing for free once they went up in the second half and actuall believed they could win it, and we resigned ourselves to defeat as a result. That lack of fight in the final ten or fifteen minutes was probably the worst thing on display from our point of view.
I think a hard-working, pressing performance is required next Tuesday against Charlton, because if we try to coast through another game we'll get turned over again.
