Cristiano Ronaldo

Why is he so hated? I just don't understand it. He is a great entertainer, a great character, one of the all time greats (not just one of the greats of his generation).

What is not to like? His arrogance? That he is a winner? His ambition to be the best? Or do people just hate him because he is in direct competition with Messi for being the best player in the world?

I hope he never goes back to United because I love him and it is bad enough seeing RVP playing for them.

Yeah he's not the most likeable person but most of the hate comes from Messi fanboys who think you have to hate Ronaldo if you like Messi.

umm, not really. if that was the case then surely the Ronaldo lovers would be being as disparaging towards Messi!

thing about Ronaldo is even in his early days at United before he became as ridiculously good as he is now, everyone found him just as despicable-a petulant, diving little

The difference is Messi comes across as appreciating how lucky he is to have so much talent. Ronaldo comes across as thinking he deserves it and is the best thing since sliced bread, which he isnt because Messi is better. Im in no way xenophobic or racist but Ronaldo also looks like the stereotype greasy deigo

Well Messi is very lucky, he had growth hormone deficiency when La Masia decided to take a gamble on him, most other clubs would have dismissed him immediately. And Ronaldo does deserve his talent, he has worked incredibly hard throughout his whole life to get where he is and deserves everything he gets.

It's got nothing to do with Messi, Ronaldo in his own right is a great player

People love winners
People love talented players

If you're disliked there are other reasons

I don't really think many people dislike Ronaldo anymore. Maybe in spain but he's been gone for so long he's now just entertainment in a league few of us actually watch other than el classico.
