Not for the first time in recent weeks or even years we dominated the opponents in terms of territory and posession but failed to score, a recurring trend. So why do we find it so hard to score?
Is it because we don't have a proper centre-forward in Giroud? Yes, partially. Giroud's instincts are to pass before shooting every time. So okay I can handle that if it means that our midfielders are coached to get into the box to support him as much as possible. Recently with Cazorla and Wilshere both managing to do that we've finally looked good, but today Giroud was completely isolated up front. IN particular our wide men both would CONSTANTLY check up instead of busting a gut to get into the box. So what's the point of playing Giroud if your midfielders are reluctant to get up and support him. For the short time Wilshere was on you could see him doing his best to get into dangerous positions rather than constantly dropping back and looking for the ball.
We could also do with some variety to our tactics and gameplan. When a ball-playing team launches the occasional diagonal long ball, it can tend to catch a team out. But instead we insist on building up slowly, oh so slowly from midfield.
We need either a proper centre-forward like Villa and we need a better class of wide player than we do atm if we're going to get over this bs which we've been seen on so many occasions for years now.
Sort it out Wenger.

We don't have anyone who is clinical or we simply just don't create enough.

We created minimal chances, our crossing was shambolic, no movement or activity in the box

Perhaps we only practice posession football in training. Remember jayram saying that once and it really does strike a nerve. We're so incompetent at shooting, crossing, defending, all these various "minute aspects" of the game that it's hard to imagine that we actually do any work on them.

The reason why Arsenal score so few goals is not Giroud but the much lauded midfielders and fullbacks. They lack precision. They look good when they have so much space that it doesn't matter that their passes are half a meter off or that they don't trap the ball cleanly etc But against good defenders and in tight spaces their tricks don't come off.
