Barnet game.

No I didn't. How was our defence and did Bowditch look fit? It a bit of a worry we still are conceding late goals.

I know that they are only friendlies but i am a bit concerned and seeing a worrying trend where we have all the game but dont take our chances. Numerous games last season were like this and i was hoping with the new players we would crack this trend. I still believe we try and walk it into the goal rather than having a pop from outside the area and then following up on rebounds etc. We have got to start scoring more goals or we will be going no where this season.

Afternoon everyone- thought i'd come and say hello- didn't go but heard we played well- more concerned about our defence.

Furz, Bowditch looked ok a bit slow of the mark when he come on but it is his first game. He had a good chance to score but Brill made a very good save. I think he will be very good this season, much like Baldock he come short to get a pass and then moved it on to Jabo.

MKANDEE, its only a pre-season game and im sure they will knock the late conceding out of their game. O'shea was looking to shoot all the time but was getting closed down all the time. Chadwick had a few efforts but still needs to work on shooting!!!

I know its different in friendlies but you would expect them to score more as there is little pressure on them compared with a league or cup game.. Even Robbo says they must take their chances, he said this about 6 times last season. What with our somewhat flakey defense at the moment we need a good 2 goals headstart in a game but if we cant bang them in all i can see is a lot of draws and games we drop points in when we have all the possesion..
I hope we do sort things out as we have a good squad and i had high hopes of a great season. My confidence in the team has dipped a bit with the pre season results.. lets hope all does all come togerther starting next Saturday.

MKANDEE- Agreed about your points there, when a chance presents its self you have to finish it of! Im sure with a new CB our defence will start to come together! Dont loose confidence untill we concede goals or start loosing in the league! Keep the faith Im sure all will work out.
