Talking Tosh

So now you have Warnock to blame for not going to the game Wednesday night . And to those fans who say i would watch leeds through thick and thin if they dropped the price of a ticket !. Well they have done and are you going in great numbers ?. Lets just face facts if you dont show commitment dont expect 200% from the players and management. Marching on Together remember !

At least your article does what it says on the tin. Attendances are down because of Warnock plain and simple, the first game with a new manager will see a big spike.

Agree Chorley, will be interesting to see how many are there on weds.

Clarkey not all fans live close enough to be able to go to weekday games, in fact thousands live miles away, like I do.

That old chestnut 200%

Tortoise we didn't see a spike when Grayson went so what makes you think sacking Warnock will trigger a rush for tickets ?

I have to be honest articles like this do amuse.

I have spent hard earned cash for years. I expect to see some return on that "investment", a quid pro quo if you like.

Doesn't matter if it is £4 or £40, if the product is lacking then it isn't value for money.

For the same price I could go to a local theatre to see a West End production on tour. These "players" have to perform day in day out to a high level or the attendances will fall and the production comes to a close.

We have a bunch of players who at best play three times a week earning (even at Leeds United levels ) more in a month than most of the supporters can earn in a year.

We invest, the club mismanage. The product is woefully short of being acceptable and that has largely been the case under Warnock.

Bates has put the club into debt, despite a clean sheet after administration, and happily watched the core product, the team/squad, diminish in quality whilst doing so.

Warnock was a backward step. A panic measure by Bates when he was left with little alternative and desperately in need of promotion to drain more funds from the club.

NW has talked himself up ever since his arrival and has left himself wanting. The team is worse now than when we were in the third tier of English football. The brand of football the worst I've seen in over 45 years of watching Leeds United.

His arrogance is beyond belief. "Doing a great job", "Having a great season". His selection smacks of someone rapidly losing the plot and buying players, for fees, then not using them when the club is up against it financially, is nothing short of criminal.

Give the supporters something to cheer about and then they will be back. I believe the "wise one" said as much himself although that little gem was quickly forgotten.

It costs me roughly £400 each time I come up to Leeds to see United play. I would happily pay it if I thought I was getting value for money. That doesn't necessarily mean winning. I want to see some effort.

Burnley away, Charlton at home, Ipswich at home and Birmingham away (FA Cup) have been my few attempts to break my self-imposed exile. Despite 2 wins, the quality of our performance has been shocking.

I used to fly in from Saudi to watch Leeds play when we were in Division 1 under Wise, McAllister and Grayson. For me, it was never about the money although for many others its a more than valid argument. It's about the club and players matching expectation that they have largely built up themselves and its been generally underwhelming for a while.

GFH show no signs of changing this. Indeed, they are more brazen that Bates. They have control and won't let go until they get a return but they appear to have no money to invest.

Appalling state of affairs.

Stevie quality mate every single word, I doff my cap.

But I think we have to give GFH more time. I was never taken on when Haigh said "He is our man and one of the reasons we decided to buy this club in the first place. The guy is a legend in English football and it was a requirement of the contract.”

They couldn't really say anything else. I think we can only really judge GFH from the 1 game of next season.

Stevie

Totally agree with everything you say!

Stevie, hope you are well

Clarkey - so Bates was to blame last season, with ticket prices etc... now its Warnock??

come on man !! - attendances are down because we are not top of the league nor winning games.... it happens...

Tuscany

Leeds have won 6 of the last 7 league games at home ,Beaten premiership Everton,Southampton and Spurs and you still won't watch em . come on boys £15 tomorrow night get yer hand in your pocket and turn up. I don't trust GFH at all, think they are Bates's puppets but if we knew what Risdale had been up i would have been more upset.
