after a brief flicker upwards following the derby match and some off field positives, it seems we're in for worsening news from the gloomometer.
starting from a lowly 23/100, tonights results leave us as follows:
+10: wardy and RJ dropped/benched. in far less time than it took MM, TC or SS, deano identifies our defensive frailties and we start the game with 3 out of 4 'new' players.
-10: barnsley 2-1 wolves. wolves cementing their place as the side most likely to throw away a lead, as we crumble from another bright start to lose. more poor refereeing and linesmen, including a good goal not awarded but the excuses don't outweight the miserable effort from some of the side and the lack of fight, creativity, belief, passion and quality on show.
-5: deano gets his own negative impact on the gloomometer. still struggling to settle into a much bigger job than he's used to, with the tactical nous of TC and the lack of ability to make meaningful substitutions of MM. deano saw his team take the lead whilst bossing the opening ten minutes, only to change the formation, concede greater possession to barnsley and slowly go on to lose. reminded us of stale at his worst.
+2: blouse 0-0 owls. had to reboot the machine after it froze while considering the deep boredom of these two dour sides slapping each other into a goalles stalemate. keeps both within wolves reach tho which is good news for the HCs.
+2: dipshitz 0-2 italian harlem globe trotters. proof that loans ARE good value, altho maybe only if you loan 14 internationals and pretend they are british. MM's side still flirting with the drop and very much within reach.
-3: milwall 1-5 peterboro. HOW?!?! more pressure on wolves from below as another apparently 'doomed' side finds some form.
+1: forest 14-1 uddersvelt. not sure if it finished at that score or if it was only HT but a serious thrashing for relegation rivals dents their hopes and batters the goal dfiference.
+1: palace 2-0 brizzzzle. rock bottom tractor driving wurzles mean wolves might at least avoid last place this season.
-3: wolves in the bottom 3, the R ZONE, the relegation places, the long grass, the paddleless canoe, the deep shít...what tiny scrap of confidence saunders might have got from a couple of draws and a clean sheet will be hard pressed to exceed the depression and panic that sets in now we are finally arrived where we've been headed for some weeks. time for men, not mice. time for a leader on the pitch and XI heroes to fight to prove they deserve the shirt. time to get the sat nav prepped for tranmere?
TOTAL: 18/100
GLOOMOMETER reaching critical mass?

not given up yet cinci
we have loads of games left and altho we're in a terrible run, the sides around us are still nothing special. form comes and goes in these run ins and any silly little result or event or decision could turn things around for us.
but if we do go down, the £1000 i will pick up will help soften the blow lol not sure the gloomometer has been programmed to reflect that side bet in just yet!

Just 18 months ago we were top of the Premier League, & now we've sort of slid a bit.
I think the Gloomometer has been using a little rose tinted processing to keep moral so high at 18/100.

If Roy Hodgson knew what the future held (be careful what you wish for), how come he's never won the lottery?

Funny, my gloomometer's been sent to the charity shop. This is better than Prozac!
