New player

My view for what its worth is that I think we will get promoted but I would prefer to stay in the first division.
I do miss the quality of the Championship but I fear that we still have not got the foundations in place to stay up.
We need to improve the academy so we grow are own and sell to survive.
We have to fill the KM to live at that level. The club are making great efforts to achieve the target in the future but another season at this level would be the best route to stay in the Championship.

Hound, I did not say I didn't think that we wouldn't get promoted. I said that it seemed like the club didn't want it this season. They've had plenty of time to get cover in and a lot of clubs will allow a player out on emergency loan for a month and cover the cost!

I also would LOVE for us to go up.
But as you said (I think you, can't be bottomed to look back) no player goes out to lose a match (well maybe some do )so promotion is mostly in the players hand.

Relegation......... All season I have just prayed that we would get to 50 points...Never mind promotion, just as long as we did not drop another league that is all I asked for and now that is about certain I am happy... With regard to promotion there are reasons why I think it would be foolish because the infrastructure is not ther. by this I mean the big crowds and the finances that are also needed and I do not think they will be either... As you say there are regulations that have to be followed...My heart would love Donny to go back up but my head tells me that it may be a mistake..You yourself say that JR spouts off and should not but he is a fan, I hear and therefore he is excused.....

Now as for the players we have or have not signed well I am not going to comment on this issue....But I just wish that the big boys at the club would all sing from the same songsheet....You and others might want to pick holes in what I just said but if you do, then you do..I do not care because to coin a famous phrase or saying...There is more to the world than football

Things are going well at home so we have booked into a hotel on the seafront in Bournemouth on the 9th and it just so happens Donny are playing down the road! very strange that.

Its a big, big game and the new boys should have worked out everybody's name by then.

I can only make a maximum of 4 games this season and possibly 5 if we are in the final play off at Wembley.

ionly - you should know that i too think that if we were to go up that it would be difficult for us to stay up, but it was last time and i want it this time as much as i did then.
As a golfer, i always want to have the lowest handicap i can be at and as a footballer i wanted to play at the highest level i could.
As a Rovers fan i want us to be in the Championship again.
Yes it would be tough to do well but i cant get my head around the thought that we dont want promotion.
We all know that we woukld have to strengthen the team but we also know that the crowds would be bigger in the Championship simply because the away end is busier.
I also think that you know i pick holes in what you say just for the heck of it sometimes matey.
