I remember saying a while back how important it was to have Tommo back in the team as soon as possible, well he got himself fit in half the expected time !
We only lost once in his first dozen games and we havn't lost since his return,to me he is pivotal to our end of season run in. Please don't get me wrong, young Lyness performed extremely well during Tommo's abscence.
Tommo though gives those in front of him clear instructions and commands his area with confidence which in turn gives confidence to the defence which spreads through the team.
Personally i don't think it is coincidence that we have picked up again since his return and long may it continue.

Just a question of time Albert, just a question of time.
If they rank every league club by their debts (forget assets) and place them in league tables, rewarding those who run a financially sound business and penalising those who don't - we would be in the top half of the Premier League.
Should they do that? Certainly. Why do clubs throw around money they haven't got to 'live the dream'? Clubs that have been running since the 19th century with loyal, devoted fans pushed to the brink of extinction by the greed and stupidity of a board with no real allegiance to the club.
The Premier League in its current state is not the league some would have you believe it is. The football is not that great and many of the players are mercenaries.
Tommo. A superb 'keeper. Commands the area and fills the defence (and fans) with confidence. Ask any top class defender about their game and they will always reference the guy between the sticks. If you can have confidence in those around you then you can concentrate 100% on your own game.
Deano. A good 'keeper. He turned up and soon nudged out his competition (Atkins).
I was on holiday in Cape Verde recently. A holiday guide announced that he was a Port Vale fan to a packed coach. I spoke to him later and informed him I was a Brewer. Instantly he wanted to talk about Tommo.

Albert I would guess that you like most Man united fans are not from Manchester . You have the Man united mirror clock on the wall at home and Man united mug at work. Theres nothing wrong with that when its your hometown or its where you live.
Tommo, great goal keeper who will bark at the defence and take command.

I didn't take offence Albert. I spotted the error in the placement on the forum. Premier League - Burton Albion. I like it. It has a nice ring to it.
That said, I do dislike the Premier League and most of the teams and players in it. True, I haven't met the players to make that sweeping statement but gone are the days when you could meet these 'stars'. Straight down the tunnel after a game, in to the Bentley and home to the mansion. Quick call to the agent to see who to sign for next and what the signing on fee will be and then bed.
Sorry, I'm going off on one again.....
