Here are the group previews for the upcoming 1st anniversary spin-off tournament with a few new features, hope you enjoy!

Teams: Anderlecht & Cruzeiro (Brazil)

Odds: 6 – 1
Previous spin-off tournament appearances: N/A

Favourite tournament moment: His heroic group performance in the German Tournament

Worst tournament moment: The constant fookin pull-outs that he drops on me

Fans View: We are fed up of the near misses in the group stages and will be looking to make May suffer this time and progress.

Fab has had a favourable team draw whilst not a very favourable group draw. Voom, Virus and May will be his main rivals in this group and I believe he will pip at least one of these to progression. He will probably do this at the expense of May and bring revenge for what happened in the German tournament, if he is in the knock-outs with that Brazilian team, then he will be a strong favourite.

Virus

Teams: Houston (USA) & Breda (Holland)

Odds: 7 – 1

Previous spin-off tournament appearances: N/A

Favourite Tournament Moment: Probably his debut where he showed what he can do

Worst Tournament Moment: Losing to May in a disappointing quarter-final exit in the German Tournament

Fans Views: We can make the semi-finals this time and will smash Tyke for bad mouthing us at the last tournament

Virus has drawn two average teams this tournament and I don’t think whichever one he chooses will make much difference to his group standing of which I expect a close battle with May. He might get the second automatic spot or sneak in via third and progress that way. Don’t think he will be strong in the knock-outs with either team and expect him to have a short stay there.

Choice

Teams: Brentford & Lazio

Odds: 12 – 1

Previous spin-off tournament appearances: Quarter-Final

Favourite Tournament moment: Reaching the semi-final back in Switzerland

Worst tournament moment: Losing 7 – 0 to Comu in MLS

Fans View: Why the hell have we got such a difficult group? Any goal will be cheered as loudly as when the Titanic set sail!

Been a while since Choice has progressed out of the group stages now and I expect this to continue despite probably using Lazio. He always has the ability to spring a surprise so undestimating him would not be advised.

Verdict: group-stages

Voom

Teams: AEK Athens & Vallecano (Spain)

Odds: 3 – 1

Previous spin-off tournament appearances: N/A

Favourite Tournament moment: Winning the League 2 Tournament and knocking SpursBoy off his perch.

Worst tournament moment: Losing to Kent and thus be unable to match the three in a row.

Fans View: We deserve better than semi-final and we will bounce back from our defeat to Kent and win this thing and smash Kent on the way, the time wasting git!

Despite having average teams I fully expect Voom to cruise this group and qualify for the knock-outs. In the knock-outs people should be in no doubt they will be facing a majorly tough opponent and he will not go down without a fight, as for his chances of winning I think it will be the semi-finals only.

Teams: Vitesse (Holland) & Drogheda Utd (Ireland)

Odds: 8 – 1

Favourite Tournament Moment: Beating SpursBoy’s Bayern Munich with Augsburg

Worst Tournament Moment: Losing to Kent convincingly in the German Tournament final

Fans View: Terrible draw, but we will at least make somebody pay in the group-stages.

Poor team draw and a hard group stage make for a bad combination for May. Having said this if he can scrape through the group stages and meet Tyke’s 1 star Norwegian team he could put in a very respectable semi-final finish, but that probably won’t happen.
