I'm really excited by both Monreal and Jenkinson - we finally have a fullback on each side who can both attack AND defend!
In my mind, both Gibbs and Sagna are good defensively but really really poor going forwards. They rarely put in good crosses or link up well, often our attack breaks down when it gets to them.
Nacho and Jenko also have a good height advantage over the other two, so we should get bullied less with them on the pitch and be more effective and defending corners and free kicks.
I know it's early doors, but I really hope they can be consistently good for Arsenal down the years.

Nacho Monreal has won every single tackle he's made for Arsenal in the PL. 8 tackles made, 8 tackles won. #NachoMan

I only saw Nacho out of position once, not time and again... I didn't see how it happened though

It's nonsense to claim Gibbs' link-up play upfront is poor. He makes good runs on and off the ball and his short passing and link-up are very good. His only real weakness going forward is his crossing. Monreal has played no better than Gibbs has this season. Maybe we should give him a little more time before the premature conclusions. Don't know if the hype is because he has some fancy sounding Spanish name.

monreal has got to do better defensively.
Jenkinson is still prone to silly mistakes as the sunderland game showed you.

As for Jenkinson, I still don't trust him for the Spurs game and hope we get Sagna back. Bale repeatedly tore Jenkinson a new one last season at WHL when Sagna got taken off with a fracture. I'm not confident Jenkinson can do the job.

Monreal crossing today was better than Gibbs has ever done. That's the difference between the two.

Monreal let Cazorla tuck in a winner and help Arsenal avoid three successive home defeats for the first time since 2002.

If we want to just defend a lead then Gibbs and Sagna are our best bet, but for all round play and a good team performance then the other two should be on, especially when Giroud is our main man up front

Jenks isn't ready to be first choice. When Sagna inevitably leaves I believe we'll need to sign a decent replacement. Whether we will or not is another thing.
