First off his link up play was excellent today. However once he got in the penalty area it was a different story it's been said before his conversion rate of chances really isn't where it should be. His decision making needs some improvement he had the opportunity to serve up an open goal for Wilshire but instead took on a shot from an impossible angle. While I think he's a decent player he surely isn't the long term solution for Arsenal.

Stan, I really dont be bothered at all. And yes I criticise Giroud after bad performances. Today he wasnt as bad as some made of him. Did anyone listen to Wengers press conference on Arsenal.com. Please do and he confirmed what I am saying.

Gunnerthru, you found some stats earlier. How many shots did Giroud have today (from the 50 crosses)?

I like Giroud, and we should give him time to adapt and develop. However, as the first choice striker he has to do BETTER, GT. He has more than enough protection and excuses than all of the 3 new signings last summer. I love his work rate but let's not overhype his defensive ability (headers). His primary job is to SCORE. If he can win some defensive headers but not offensive ones, then there is a problem.
In the end, it was AW's fault. Why brought in a traditional striker but none of us (except Podolski) can cross?

Ohh! and I stopped listening to Wenger for a long time.

And he just put one of the crosses in. Well I say "in", what he did was slice it behind the goal.
But answer the question please, or give me a link (would be even better). The point is we had all of this posession and crosses but he was never in a position where anyone could find him.
Hes just done something good. The defenders followed him as he was running away from the ball leaving space for Cazorla to run into to score the 2nd. And the commentator has just said that "Arsenal have put so many balls into really good areas"
