Big setback for someone that was meant to be the next big thing and close to taking on the K brothers. His first real test in Thompson and it was a disaster for him. The punch that K.Od him was very similar to the one Khan took from Garcia.
Could this setback make the Fury fight more possible?
What next for Price?
Poor David Price

Fury to be fair did have an unbeaten Chisora at the time under his CV but I still think Price would beat him.

A truly embarrassing defeat. Shame as he comes across as quite articulate and likable in interviews, unlike Fury.

I've said price could be the ext Harrison if he is not careful.
This was the third time in three fights he has fought someone over forty. He just was not stepping up to fight anyone of worth, keeps on fighting past it jokes or bums and one of them finally got him.
Read that last sentence again. Its just like Harrison

I had a 3 day YouTube argument about this guy, his hype was ridiculous! Ppl saying he could bear Haye lol. It a doubled sword, I'd like another British champ...not Audley. However I'm glad he was exposed against a relative jobber.
Like my friend Maattyp said, he is a can crusher.

tbh...i think your going over the top a bit....
he's failed his first big test...sure...but he's not the first and won't be the last...
in this division...you can get caught like that....and it wasn't a concussive punch....he was caught on the side of the head...and in his words...
that perforated(sp) his ear drum and led him too loose his co-ordination.....

A bit OTT on here really, some people forget Vlad K was KO'd a few times early in his career and he worked out alright.
Having said that it didn't seem to take much when TT created the angle for that punch, I think Price was just a bit impatient going for the right hook as TT was rolling him from off the ropes so a bit naive/impatient maybe.
Price relys on fighting in straight lines imo, behind the jab to set up the big right, he needs to learn from this experience and mix it up a bit more.
To be honest the Americans have a few good heavyweights right now doing the same as Price, fighting bums and padding their records, waiting for the K bro's to call it a day so it's no reflection on Price either.

Mancunit I agree the division is so devoid of talent it stinks! The thing is maybe price will come good, maybe these stat padders will step up, but 4 all of them it's too early to say, if we have 5 or 6 top heavyweights in the next decade I'll be happy.

Price will come back from this. This will probably be a good thing for him as it'll be a stark reminder to the unpredictability of the heavyweight division and what one punch can do.. Especially one he didn't see coming that caught him right on the ear sending his balance all over the place.
If he has the right attitude, and trains hard he'll come back stronger
