The Empire Strikes Back would be nothing without Star Wars.

Heat was a great film. All the fight/gun fight scenes were 'choreographed' by Andy McNab which made them more 'real'.
Blackhawk Down was a good film. The book was better though. It never ceases to amaze me the incompetence of American military leaders and their willingness and eagerness to send so many brave soldiers to their deaths.
The Bourne trilogy us always a good watch....
Then there's the old classics, The Italian Job (the original) and Zulu (the one with Michael Caine). Next Christmas watch Zulu and remind yourself that it's actually a true story, and at the time the survivors were criticised for not dying!
I'd personally go for Man On Fire, Training Day and Gladiator
