Who do you think is going to finish in the top 6?
It's incredibly tight with only 4 points seperating 2nd from 9th. With only 5/6 games to go for all the teams to the split it's going to be massively difficult to predict who will get the points needed. ICT and Motherwell are in the driving seat as they have the most points with a game in hand, but neither have been particularly brilliant of late with Motherwell going on a bad wee run.
A breakdown of some teams fixtures still to play before the split.
Motherwell
Celtic (h)
Hearts (a)
Aberdeen (a)
Hibs (h)
Dundee (a)
St Mirren (h)
ICT
Dundee Utd (h)

Celtic (important because you'd bet on them to win against these teams)
M'well (a)
Ross Co. (a)
Aberdeen (h)
St Mirren (a)
Hibs (h)
It's very, very tough to predict but I'm going to stick my neck out and go for the top 6 being Celtic, ICT, Motherwell, St Johnstone, Killie and Dundee Utd (hopefully).

Pretty well summed up scotcelt. QPR, currently bottom in the EPL, could easily support the entire Scottish league system outside of the Old Firm on their wage bill. If you include their transfer fees, they'd be able to support Newco too.
How the hell are we supposed to compete with that? Time to stop comparing ourselves to them I think.

scotscelt - the club was going to be called Dundee United, it was going to be play at Tannadice and the strip was going to be tangerine with blue trim. The away kit would have been blue with orange trim.
It was when Marr was in charge and the club was on its knees. The contract was drawn up but someone came in at the last minute with investment for the Dees and the deal fell through, which is probably just as well for Peter Marr.

Did ground sharing not come within a whisper also. Now while realising its still a touchy subject that really makes sense. Hell if two clubs the size of AC and Inter can manage it just seems a no brainer to me
But like I said no intention to marginalise either of the Dundee clubs individuality. Lets be honest if Celtic and Rangers did similar they would be a monster of European fitba but it aint ever going to happen

Difference is that the weather is a lot better in Milan than it is here! Aberdeen & Motherwell have both tried groundsharing recently and their pitches were utterly destroyed. It'd probably have to be an astroturf pitch.
Another problem is that Tannadice & Dens aren't on prime land, so wouldn't fetch much money to fund a new stadium/renovations.
No personal objection to it, it's just not very practical.

The ground sharing chat was centred around the unsuccesful European Championship bid from a few years ago.
If Scotland had won the bid we'd have moved to a new ground together.

Personally I dont think groundsharing would be a great idea, we cant keep the pitch in great condition with one team playing on it never mind two teams, remember motherwell and gretna sharing? ??

Or given the financial benifits a merger would bring invest in grow lights and such to allow a natural pitch to self repair like Celtic use. Obviously it costs money though
As with most arguements against hobo there are solutions if there is a will

Can't see United making top 6.
Tic, Caley, County, St J and Well for me are probably there.
Hibs and Killie are both likely to finish with more point than us.
With Gunning out and recent substitutions we only have 13 players likely to play in any game.
Dow and Millar on the bench each week are clearly not seen as first team players.
The Houston legacy.
