We should win tonight. But, if we don't I won't feel too unhappy. Bury are one of those clubs that I have a soft spot for.
I remember going the to watch us mid 70's. Parked my car in a cul-de-sac not far from the ground. 2 lads came up & asked if I wanted my car watched, so, fearing the worst, paid the fee of 50p.
We won 1-0 & I came back to the car to discover that the lads had washed it!
They said that they were bored & might as well do something useful!
I gave them another quid!
Salt of the earth!

I hope I'm wrong, but I fear tonight's loss was the first significant step on a downward slide for the remainder of the season. Shorn of players, manager and coaching staff, we're lacking direction and at sixes and sevens...
We've had two home games against teams in the bottom half. If we had won them, we'd be top, with a nice little cushion over 3rd place. As it is.....well, not so good.
Sorry to be a pessimist, but I can't see how we pick it up from here in the remaining couple of months >sigh<...

Donny fan in peace....No matter what happens for the rest of the season...What you achieved last year was brilliant and this season you have been nothing short of excellent...You have taken this league by storm and may yet get promoted...Al the top 7 teams are playing crazy foortball with loss of form and bouncing back in turn, Last night Bournemouth went down 6 places by loosing, a win puts them straight back towards the top, the same applies to you...My only good feeling after last night apart from the win at Shrewsbury is that The Blades are below Donny

SG... I don't see that as pessimism, it's what could easily happen. The contrast between the last two home games and our performance at Tranmere says it all. We were superb there but we've gone to the other extreme. Unless we get a quality manager in quickly we'll be out of contention.
ionly...thank you for your generous comments. You're right, there's still all to play for, it's just that sometimes the sheer frustration of being a fan is hard to cope with!

This time last week Town had 3 wheels on their wagon & we were singing a happy song. Saturday, home to Preston, 1-1 draw, 2 of them had fallen off. Last night’s defeat at home to Bury, we lost the last one!
Talk about “flaming spears burning ears”. The teewhats responsible for this farce, should have those spears inserted into their anagram!
