That's it

Adios 1991-2012 Rovers.
The money, the success, the optimism, the general upward trajectory, the 25,000 crowds, the buzz about the town, the Rovers shirts/minikits/scarves all over the place, the immense pride at being a fan.

Hello 1966-1990 Rovers.
The poverty, the failures, the dissappointment, the Championship (or worse) stagnation, the 12,000 crowds, the apathy about the town, the occasional Rovers shirt amongst the Man U gloryhunters, the slight embarassment at being a fan.

Caused by a negligent Walker Trust, an insane trio of Indians, and a collection of ravenous con-men. The glory days are over and its back to the hard days of being a small 2nd tier club.

Well least it was a heck of a ride.

Cant disagree there, when everyone was praising this squad of players, and myself seeing these players at home and away,i knew exactly were we was heading and my thoughts remain exactly the same,Kean had all the luck in the early days of the championship that deserted him in the prem, but these players are not good enough in any sense of the word and alas the glory days never will return again, untill another extreemly eccentric, rich fan comes along, these people are here for the para payments and owt they can make on the likes of Dann,Hanley,Rhodes etc, etc,i noticed against Leeds just how many loan players were on the field wearing a blue and white shirt or players that are deff at the end of there careers, the art of assett stripping is keeping the fans alongside untill the money is done and on that to a certain extent these owners are succeeding,we will be left to pick up the pieces, and start a debate on,"Did Jack Walker in fact ruin Blackburn Rovers" by creating something that without his cash imput was totally unsustainable,,now that is a good talking point.

This is sadly true, but he loved the club and most fans of any club who had the cash would do the same thing. Other clubs with massive financial backing will revert back once that backing goes. Where would Chelsea or Man City be without it?
The problem at Rovers now is that not many can remember the bad old days of the old third division, the rickety old wooden Riverside stand, the "club shop" in an old terrace shop on Bolton Road etc.
Funnily enough I enjoyed those days without much expectations. Apart from not losing against Burnley.

Can't disagree with any of that B&WH. A disastrous waste of money from top to bottom.

Crowds of 12,000 might be considered good in a year or two!

I was never embarrassed being a fan when we were lower down. Astute management at all levels and players that cared were easily enough for me.

Appleton's comments at half-time were shocking. "As long as we don't lose by 5 or 6...don't lose the 2nd half"

2-0 down at half-time suddenly equals match over? Unimpressed.

We all saw this coming so its no big surprise!M A. might just steady the boat a wee while but thats about it.We have been taken for a ride so long nothing shocks our fans any more.We have had second rate managers and now we have second rate players, with the odd exception.I remmember the old days quite well and the Shearer /Sutton times also. These indian clowns with Shabby have taken us as far downhill as we can go,it can only get better not worse we have an important cup match on Sunday as for the league play offs well thats for next season.

You say it can only get better not worse,,no way mate believe you me t can get much, much worse,,lets see just were these clowns leave us,and maybe Appletons half time remarks were taken out of context.

9 wins should see us in the play offs, pretty sure we can keep 9 clean sheets, positive we can supply the goals for Rhodes and that Murphy will get a grip in the centre. I think Appy is a very astute managerial appointment.

No- no matter how many times I type it I just cannot force myself to believe any of it.
