Here is my match analysis.

We weren't at our best last night but now, when we are not at our best, we are pretty damn good. I was applauding a lot of the football last night.

Macdonald had his best game for us last night (not that difficult admittedly). Some intelligent football played and real enthusiasm shown in closing down. Faded away second half.

Our first two goals were criminal defending by them but our hunger to win made them. Maghoma shouldn't have been able to get in front of the defender to get that one in. That should have been cleared.

Next, how the smallest man on the pitch (Billy) was allowed to head that one in on the line with a couple of 6 foot plus defenders next to him was beyond me.

Such generosity on both goals.

And now turning to the 'accident waiting to happen'. Like watching something happen in slow motion and being powerless to intervene you could see us relaxing and Morecambe getting back in to it. I thought that if they could get one back they would be hungry for a second and then it would be a nervous ending. I wrote that script perfectly in my head. I have seen far too many Brewers games. I can still see that last effort of theirs whistling inches over the bar.

Final word goes to Jimmy. There are 2 players at the club who I do not rate in the slightest. Cleveland (remember him?) and Jimmy. When he came on as sub he looked quite sharp and a useful player. 'Hang about, we have got that Jimmy back who played well in our first season for a dozen games' I thought. Then, at 3-2 deep in to injury time with us clinging on, when ball possession was crucial, the ball lands at the feet of Jimmy. 'Corner flag Jimmy, corner flag'. What does he do? He decides to go on a mazy dribble to try and score a wonder goal. He was of course dispossessed by the first player he met and we may have been looking at a 3-3 result now.

Brilliant result and for periods of the game we were playing some wonderful football. Billy is back to his best and Symes is a willing runner for him, although I did think Symes was struggling half way through the second half. It amazes me that Zola and Pato did so well in the first half of the season for us and here's Billy and Symes doing so well the second half, although I truly believe all of them will be needed to get us to the promised land! Mags has just been brilliant all season!

MacDonald showed us what he's about, although again I thought he was knackered half way through the second half. Phillips doesn't do it for me but you never know he may surprise us all before the end of the season.

I was biting my nails until the Ref blew the final whistle, could have gone either win in the last few minutes, but thankfully we held on. Brilliant result

Agree with all you comments guys. We weren't at our best but it was good enough to beat Morecambe. At times especially in the second half some of players looked dead on their feet (Symes/McDonald/Mags) but it was another hard fought 3 points - points we would not have won this time last season!

McCrory was caught out for both goals imho, but he is good going forward.

I hope GR looks at his squad for Saturday and freshens it up a little and keeps two up front and really goes for the win - no sitting back, this bandwagon is on a roll.

Up the Brewers

Yes i pretty much agree with all that has been said , we werent at our best but ground out a result against a team who looked half decent .Our home form has been magnificent i just hope we can produce the same form againt Cheltenham in our next home match ,but all our games are going to be cup finals now if we dare to dream about finishing in the top three . Our final run in is going to be tough looking at the fixtures ,but we should fear no one. As i said very early on in the season this Albion team is the best squad of players i have seen in all the years i have supported them , this is down to Ben having belief in Gary when he could have shown him the door with Pesch ,and a man who i firmly believe is the ace in the pack Kevin Summerfield he along with Gary have made some shrewd signings ,have been brave enough to release old favourites ,and have gone out into the loan market and picked up two gems in Sharps , and Symes .Macdonald is the one that im not too sure about but hey he is an improvement on Taylor . What a season we are having guys ,enjoy it while it lasts , we have had to endure much bumpier seasons struggling to stay up , this is our time to be proud of a team shurely worthy of league one .
