Dont know if anyone watch sky sports news last night , but they compared Bale & Ronaldo`s stats for their first 136 games in the premier league
Its amazing how close those stats were
No Tottenham fan is saying he is as good as the Ronaldo of today but he is def as good or very close to the Ronaldo at the same time in their careers
How amazing would it be if he continued to get better and became as good as Ronaldo one day
We have a fantastic player on our books and im very proud he plays for our great club and is helping build the profile of the club all over the world, it can only do us good that the world is talking about him
BALE............. " he was born to play for Spurs

But in less than 6 months he'll play for Real, and then 2 seasons after, he'll be at United/City.
stupidest thing I've ever read on here.
Real will spend >£50m on Bale, only to sell him 2 years later
what a mug...

As a neutral, let's hope he does continue to improve. The more players of the highest order the better.

Love watching him play at the moment. The NLD should be a cracker.

I understand that, yet I still think it is a completely pointless comment. 'If a player who plays in a sport that relies heavily on athleticism, loses his athleticism he is worse'.
If Bolt lost his speed he wouldnt be 100m champion. Just an obvious statement.

To be a 100m runner is all about speed, you don't really need that much else. To be a footballer isn't. Bale can get better at other aspects of the game instead of just relying on his speed, which he would need to do if an injury hit him.

Doovde
British players just don't last abroad. They all come home after a few seasons. Beckham is the only exception.

have you even watched him play, the way he brings the ball down and runs with it, not many players have that skill to move a ball around like that
having pace does not make you a great footballer, it helps and thats all

Bale's goals against West Ham nothing to do with pace.
Bale's goals against Lyon nothing to do with pace.
One of Bale's goals against Newcastle was pace
Against WBA his goal was nothing to do with pace.
Against Norwich his goal was about pace and strength.
His hatrick against Villa I would argue only the first had something to do with his pace.
But above all, all his goals are more to do with great composure, finishing, and technique.
